Recently renovate large hotel, aiming for a luxury feel. The gym, pool, and amenities are exceptional.
The hotel is about a 20-30 min drive from Florence and requires either an expensive taxi or the shuttle - the shuttle was advertised however it was frequently booked up and certainly not enough capacity for the number of guests at the hotel.

Room was very quiet, clean and front desk staff was exceptional throughout our stay with arranging everything. Both pools and saunas are nice
The directions around the hotel could definitely be improved. It was not always clear where to go, and better signs would make things much easier for guests
Our experience at Bertarelli Restaurant was very disappointing. I would rate it 1/10. We waited around 25 minutes just to be acknowledged by a waiter. We tried waving several times and eventually had to walk over to get someone's attention. The waiter who came over did not speak English well enough to communicate properly. He told us to wait while he brought someone else to take our order and another 10 minutes passed and nobody came. We had to wave again before the main waiter finally came and took our order. Even after that they brought us a different drink that we ordered and seemed annoyed when we pointed it out
At the end of the meal, I decided not to wait any longer for the check and went to the front desk myself. While checking the bill, I noticed that the desserts had been charged twice. We had ordered one cheesecake and one tiramisu, but the bill showed two of each. I explained the mistake but they only removed one tiramisu, and they still left two cheesecakes on the bill. I only noticed this again after i paid, and eventually received the difference back in cash
For a hotel of Radisson standard, I honestly expected much better service. The restaurant was very busy, and having only one main waiter and another staff member who struggled to communicate in English/ignoring people was clearly not enough. We also noticed other guests around us getting frustrated because they were waiting so long just to have someone come and take their orders. The service was far too slow and disorganized. The restaurant needs better staffing, communication, and attention to detail. This was not the level of service I would expect from a Radisson hotel

Not for stuff. When we were leaving, we parked the car in front of the hotel to pack luggage. While packing, they were cleaning the floor with a water compressor very close to our car and continued doing that while we were loading the luggage into the car. Water was spraying over us and the car.

Beautiful hotel but dangerous bath. Slipped a few times getting out no grab rails and an imbalance between high inside bath and low floor. Im only 5 foot and my legs were not long enough to reach out properly and I fell forward smashing my face against the wall and sustaining brushing to my legs and face. Def a hazard. They did scrub a few charges off the bill but still had pain for the rest of my holiday and could have been killed. No response through email or booking.com message. Look at photos from my measurements to show difference in size between each side.

Great rooms
Location is terrible. It is located near a highway, so using public transport is not really an option and the roads near the hotel are poorly lit. The shuttle service offered by the hotel is inadequate considering the number of guests. We ended up having to take taxis often, which usually ends up costing €100 per day. Much better to live in the centre of Florence.

The rooms are spacious and well furnished,
The hotel is located in a calm quiet place, a distance away from the city center, away from the hustle & bustle of Florence. Nice swimming pool
On my first night i went to their Bertarelli restaurant for dinner, i was the 3rd table to be sat, ordered a steak & a glass of wine, and waited for over an hour and 20mins, the restaurant filled up, everybody who came after me got served, somehow my food never came despite reminding the waiters on 3 occasions. It seemed like mine was not a priority. I eventually walked out without getting the food. I didn’t get an explanation or apology for this lousy service and yet i stayed at the hotel for 6nights .
Also the housekeeping team doesnt often do a great job, they seem overwhelmed/under staffed, they dont thoroughly clean and dust the surfaces, rarely refill the used bathroom grooming accessories, i had to constantly leave notes to have items refilled or get my beddings changed.

I would only stay at this hotel if I had a car or some other private transport.
The hotel is extremely far away from anything in the city, make sure to check the location. If you need to walk, avoid this hotel as walking requires 15 minutes to walk on the street next to the cars, there’s no sidewalk so it’s dangerous. Taxi is extremely expensive if you need to commute multiple times a day. The hotel has a shuttle bus but the time-table is poor, only a few times a day, only up until 9pm. After arriving at the hotel and realising all of this, we kindly asked at the reception to initiate a free cancellation, although the staff was only okay, they were not helpful at all. They told us it’s not up to them and that it’s up to the hotel manager, who was conveniently “not available”.
As a genius level 3, I’m completely disappointed in the hotels service, as well as in booking.com’s system, because even as a very loyal customer, a small exception like this couldn’t be made.
