The location and the kindness of the reception.
There was not previous information saying that air conditioning could not be turned on during some periods of the year. The room was really hot and unfortunately I had to leave the hotel.

Everything. Rooms were smelly, no AC until the end of May, no smart TVs and only two English speaking channels which were both news channels. Highly entertaining channels. Would not recommend!!!

Location is great, just next to the train station; walking distance to the city center. Room was comfortable and clean, so was the bathroom. Breakfast was great, had many options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

$200 USD in cash disappeared from our bag while our luggage was under the hotel's supervision, which completely overshadowed the stay. Even more frustrating was the management's response, which felt dismissive and did not include a thorough investigation into what might have happened. Because of this experience, we left feeling disappointed and unable to trust the hotel with our belongings.

I've stayed here before and left a glowing review about how much I love every aspect of my stay at C Diplomat so I won't go into the comfort, safety, cleanliness, professionalism, and breakfast that we're all 10 stars. What really stood out for me this time was the location! I had an early flight out of Florence in the morning and it was such a comfort being able to step out of the hotel and get onto the T2 tram to the airport directly across the street at 5am. The tram is only €1.70 and drops you off outside the airport's front door. I will always stay here, and recommend this hotel, when coming to Florence because it is also steps away from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Extra benefit: they will store your bags for free if arriving early in the day or leaving later after checkout so you can maximize your time exploring Florence without luggage.
