I've stayed here before and left a glowing review about how much I love every aspect of my stay at C Diplomat so I won't go into the comfort, safety, cleanliness, professionalism, and breakfast that we're all 10 stars. What really stood out for me this time was the location! I had an early flight out of Florence in the morning and it was such a comfort being able to step out of the hotel and get onto the T2 tram to the airport directly across the street at 5am. The tram is only €1.70 and drops you off outside the airport's front door. I will always stay here, and recommend this hotel, when coming to Florence because it is also steps away from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Extra benefit: they will store your bags for free if arriving early in the day or leaving later after checkout so you can maximize your time exploring Florence without luggage.

very welcoming staff and very flexible. we got an early check in without any problem. location was perfect for us, just across from train station and within walking distance from all we wanted to see in city center. breakfast was excellent. everything was super clean
my heating controls and my tv did not work. but when i told receptionist they were very glad i told them and immediately got on phone with maintenance

Hotel is right outside the train station. Walking distance to city center. Restaurants & bodegas right next door. Staff were so kind and welcoming. Very nice lobby.
Tram is also right outside the hotel. We were told we got an upgrade - upgrade was front of hotel! It was sooooo LOUD could not sleep. Room was warm so opening the window made it worse.

Excellent location, right across the street from the train station, but we requested an interior room, and did not hear the trains our room. Option to have detached single beds instead of Queen bed. Varied and plentiful included breakfast.
Beds were on the hard side. Electricity turns off when you leave the room/remove the key.

The property was right beside the train station in Florence. Super easy to get to. The building was very secure, we left our bags with the staff and they moved them to our room for us, because we were on a tour. They also gave us an upgrade to a lovely suite with a beautiful view! The lounge and bar area were very posh. The restaurant was spacious and comfortable. This property is deceptively large, decorated beautifully, and very clean. The staff was fantastic!

Right across the street from the Florence train station and the T2 shuttle from the airport made this location perfect for our stay to recover from a long flight and be positioned perfectly to take a train the next afternoon. Clean, safe, quiet night. They even stored our luggage after checkout so we could explore a bit before it was time to hit the departure platform.

All the staff were super friendly and accommodating- special shout out to Ermelinda who kindly put my luggage into luggage storage on my last day. Room was very cosy and clean. Great location- all the landmarks between 10-20 min walk from the hotel. Exceeded my expectations for the price and would 100% stay again! Recommending to anyone who tells me they're going to stay in Florence.

The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. The space felt clean and well taken care of. It was immediately clear that the hotel management put effort into making the hotel enjoyable for its guests. The small details such as, the handwritten note and the welcome drink, did not go unnoticed and showed how the hotel goes above and beyond.

The hotel’s location was extremely convenient, right next to the train station, which made it very easy to find and access. We stayed in two rooms—one with a view and one without—and both rooms had large balcony areas. It was really nice to be able to step outside, get some fresh air, and relax. The room with a view was, of course, especially enjoyable.
One of the most important things for me when traveling is shower water pressure. Perhaps because I’m used to low water pressure in many U.S. hotels, this one felt just right—very comfortable and satisfying to use.
Breakfast was another highlight. There was a good variety of coffee and baked goods, all of which were tasty and satisfying. We were traveling as a family of four, and both the kids and adults felt very comfortable throughout our stay.
We were also deeply touched by the thoughtful welcome card waiting for us in the room. Later, we even received a gift of pasta, which we brought back home. It felt like a very meaningful and warm gesture, and we’re grateful to be able to enjoy it at home while remembering the flavors of Florence.
Most of all, the biggest advantage was the location for onward travel. Being right in front of the train station meant that on our last day, we could enjoy a filling breakfast and reach the station in just three minutes. That convenience alone makes this hotel stand out.
If I return to Florence, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again without considering other options.
The only minor downside was that the bathroom towel warmer wasn’t working, but it was not a major issue at all.
