Wonderful
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to the main train station, across from the market, and easy walking to all of the sites.
More plug options would help for charging devices like phones, computers, hearing aides etc.

We loved Bonnie from the front desk. She most always smiling and cheerful and very very helpful. We all loved the very comfortable mattresses. There were many restaurants nearby and close to the SMN train station
The room was a little small but we kinda knew it beforehand.

Nice rooms in good location, very friendly and accommodating staff, good breakfast.
Only small note is that the queen size bed (or king ) was two small ones connected and that can be proven a little tricky. But overall it was very nice place. Would stay again

One of the worst reception experiences I’ve ever had. The main issue is that reception closes at 6 pm after that, you’re out of luck if you need anything.
We went on a day trip after our first night there and returned to the hotel around 8 pm, that’s when I realized the bathroom light wasn’t working. I contacted reception and explained the problem. Their response was: “Did you charge anything in the room?” Which was odd, because of course you’d charge your phone overnight. Then they said: “Well, yeah, the fuse must have blown because you charged something. Remind me tomorrow and we’ll try to fix it.”
That meant we had to use our phone flashlights in the bathroom, because they don’t provide any services after 6 pm.
The story goes on, but the main point is: whenever you contact them, it feels like you’re asking for a personal favor rather than requesting a basic service, like fixing a light. They even speak to you that way, with no polite or professional tone. It’s always as if you’re inconveniencing them, and if there’s a problem, they make it seem like it’s probably your fault.
If you’re planning to stay here, just keep in mind that the service is bad. Cleanliness, the breakfast and the room itself were ok for the price.
Would I recommend the stay to anyone? No. Can you stay here as a last resort? Yes but keep in mind it isn’t going to be a normal hotel service.

The free breakfast was great and the staff was helpful 24/7 making sure we were able to get in upon our arrival. The AC was very nice in the Florence heat

The room was spacious. The host was very kind! We enjoyed our check-in and check-out conversations with her, and she gave us a map of Florence and helpful tips about where to go and when. The room was clean and safe. The location was walking distance to the train station (but far enough not to hear the trains) and walking distance to the city's center. There are good restaurants nearby and a street full of markets.
While the selection of breakfast food was good, the quality wasn't great. The dining room was very small. The bunk bed felt a bit unstable
