The owners were nice. They gave us a bottle of Prosecco for our special occasion. They helped us book reservations & call our airport cab. They had good customer service. Daniel took his time and gave us a map with suggestions of places to visit and how to get there. They had free snacks in the general area and free drinks in the fridge. They stored our luggage after we checked out between when we checked out and when we departed for the airport. That gave us time to shop and explore the city a little more on our final day. Overall, great stay!
Shower was small even though the bathroom size was decent. They weren't flexible with checkout time as we were initially led to believe. We wanted to checkout around noon, but they said we had to be out of the room at 11am & we did not like the tone of the message that they used to send this communication. That being said, English is not their first language, so we won't fault them too much. Also, the message came from a staff member, not the owners.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and everything was amazing! Daniele and Alessia were very kind to us and the room was perfect! Nice location, close to everything and quiet at night.

The rooms are on the second floor and accommodations with snacks and drinks are great. Location is nice, close to great places to eat and the main attractions. The rooms were comfortable and well cleaned daily.
Issues we had were the electricity not working. Plugs in various places in the room would go out. This happened in all rooms and other guests were told it was them. We found that to be unnecessary, because this was their issue. One night the power all went out. Their breakers need to be upgraded. Plugging in one charger shouldn't blow the circuits. Other times, their coffee maker or light plug-ins wouldn't work. Honest communication about the issue being on their end, telling guests they will get it fixed, instead of blaming guests, is a smarter approach in the future. If these fixes are made, we would gladly stay again.

As the name suggests, this is a very interesting old Tuscan house with nice rooms to rent. Everything from the floor to the ceiling is genuine and in a style that the property description promises.
The location is great! Theres a nice deli next to the property (54 Rosso) and a couple of cool Tratorrias. It should take you no more than 20min by foot from the property to Ponte Vecchio, 15min to Duomo, and 5min to Galleria de Accademia.
The owners, Alessia and Daniel, were fantastic. Theyre warm, welcoming, and happy to help. The home is full of complementary gifts such as vinsanto, cantucci, and a lot of other authentic Tuscan sweets that make you feel like youre vacationing at a friends house.
The owners really try to make your stay in Florence as good as possible. They offer a lot of great advice regarding where to go, what to see, where to eat, and what to experience. It felt like we were getting a free concierge service.
Nothing. Everything was awesome. The property, location, and the hosts greatly exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to come back!

My stay at Antica Dimora Firenze was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi was excellent as well. Daniele was incredibly kind and helpful. He recommended a wide range of things to experience in Florence: food, art, markets, outdoors, and places of interest, all of which I enjoyed. Daniele and Alessia were very flexible with everything, such as check in and check out, housekeeping, and anything else that might make your stay better.
The hotels location is great, as you can easily walk to the main sights and museums, while still taking advantage of a nice residential neighborhood with shops, bakeries and restaurants.
Overall, I loved my time there! Thank you to Daniele and Alessia for being amazing hosts!
Be aware that doors are thin and you may hear some noise from other guests.

hotel recommendations + some food and water available okay neighbourhood nice biscuit and liquor on entry. comfy bed nicely decorated. good shower, toilet etc. very well made and designed.
I had a terrible experience at Antica Dimora Firenze. The staff was rude and unprofessional, the rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, and the overall service was substandard. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Some problems:
RUDE The staff member Daniella was rude and dismissive and I asked for help with booking a taxi, he made me feel like I was a nuisance. He sent me a voice note and said i sent a late message at midnight, when he sent me one at 10.20pm himself. he sent me many obnoxious voice notes (see pics).
BALCONY The balcony key didn't work and he made me feel like i was turning it too hard. I sent a video to show him and obviously turned it harder on purpose - but he undermined me with his comment on being gentle, upon fixing it. to which i did not receive a video. The WiFi was unreliable and he said no other guests complained, again dismissing me - i told him the rooms distance may be an issue, as i am a leader in advertising i understand technology. He then agreed later in the day, but the emotional intelligence again was lacking.
DARK Very dark building - no lighting inside it and the lift is tiny.
CAMERA Camera on the front door - i felt like i was being watched. The door has no handle and is hard to close. one time i accidentally left it open due to its poor functiaonality and then i got a rude message saying i 'wouldnt do that at home' as if I was a guest in someone's house. They are apalling at communicating and I felt stalked and watched from a security room - I didn't consent to video footage and have asked booking.com to sent me it all and delete it from their systems - i did not sign anything. it was also so dark i did not see the camera else i would have complained about privacy infringement.
DISAPPOINTED
The overall service was substandard. The staff was not attentive, and they did not seem to care about my needs.
I am very disappointed with my experience at Antica Dimora Firenze.

Alessia (guest house owner) was incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. She gave lots of restaurant recommendations (all excellent) and helped us to book tables when needed. The guest house is very charming and has a lovely feel to the place. The snacks and drinks section was a nice touch too. Great location with everything in walking distance. Would stay here again!
