It was close to everything! We loved the location, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, but just outside so that it wasn’t crazy busy. It was spotlessly clean and they cleaned our room each day and left us treats and coffee and fresh towels every other day. We would definitely stay again. The staff was lovely and attentive. We couldn’t thank them enough.

Wonderful
Accommodation was out of the noise and tussle of the tourist center, but easily walkable. There is also bus service into the center. Great restaurants nearby. Nice host. Room clean and neat.

Great location, close to city center but away from all the crowds. Clean, and had great communication with staff. They even helped me get a taxi on my last day.

The manager Denis was great. He was always available to help with any problem i had. I was sick and he did everything he could to help me thru. His attitude was always positive, earnest, and enthusiastic. Hats off!

Stayed 4 nights. The location was great, everywhere we went was walkable or easily accessible by bus. The room was great! It was SUPER clean and the bed was very comfy and plenty of places to eat nearby. Dennis the host/owner was amazing!!! I would definitely look forward to staying here again!!!

Excellent accommodation in a quiet part of Florence, yet within an easy walk of all major sights. Everything was clean and equipped with everything you might need for a few days’ stay. Compliments to the wonderful host who made the visit even better. Fully recommended.

We loved the Althea Rooms. The host was terrific and very helpful. The room wasn't large, but adequate with fridge, tv, and electric kettle. The highlight was the location. Off the beaten path, the neighborhood was more local with excellent restaurants and cafes. We could walk to the central, historical, busy sites in about 10 minutes. We were there only for a couple of nights but wish we could have stayed longer.
The bathroom had a sewer smell which apparently does not happen all the time. Depends on specific weather conditions ie wind/pressure etc. We smelled this at different locations in the neighborhood as well. If we kept the bathroom door shut, it did not penetrate the room.
