Palazzo del Marchese di Camugliano is an exceptional place that exceeded all our expectations.
The location is very central, il Palazzo offers many elegant spaces that combine the style beauty and elegance of its antique decor with the comfort of modernity. The garden is an unexpected gem. The breakfast is fabulous, and our room the studio was elegant,comfortable and made our stay very special. The kitchen in the cupboard just what we needed for our long stay. And last but not least the staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. We shall certainly return and we highly recommend it.

the full breakfast was amazing, you can order off a menu with eggs, pancakes, cheese plate, etc. You can also get pastries, juice and coffees all day in the communal area so that saved us quite a bit of money. Great location, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Only thing to mention, you can't drive inside the town of Florence, there is a parking lot a few doors down which worked find and the hotel did send staff to help with luggage but since it's the only parking lot working with a lot of hotels, make sure you let them know early that you need your car, it can take them over an hour during the busy checkout time. Again, this is not a ding on the hotel at all as it's not their parking lot, they just work with them. The restaurant right across the street was amazing and it's a quick walk to the Duomo, Gucci Museum and lots of great shopping.
Only thing to mention, you can't drive inside the town of Florence, there is a parking lot a few doors down which worked fine and the hotel did send staff to help with luggage but since it's the only parking lot working with a lot of hotels, make sure you let them know early that you need your car out, it can take them over an hour during the busy checkout time. It was my favorite hotel and I came back there three years in a row but this time was the last one. The room was so extremely loud because of facing the street but you could not not open the window because the humidity from the bathroom was unbearable and I got a terrible allergy on my face because of constant wet bathroom and smell of mold. when I asked for AC stuff said "it is impossible to turn it on in March", which was very possible last year. The whole place is screaming cost cuts. Before arrival I contacted the property, asking to prepare two separate blankets on a double bed, which was confirmed via email but was not done. When I asked, they said they do not have this information and not aware of my request, then I showed my messages with the hotel. At the next step the stuff said that it is impossible to have two blankets and then I basically had to start doing it myself for them to admit that it is in fact possible. Finally, I was using the gym every day for three days. The gym told me it is either 15 EUR per day or 35 for three days, we agreed that it will be paid with my final hotel bill. When I checked the hotel bill I was charged 20 EUR for every visit to the gym per person . At that point I saw no point in trying to argue after the bed experience and just left for good.

Staff were incredibly attentive, polite and helpful. Our room was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was not your usual hotel room as it was exceptionally large and a bed to match. Comfortable night sleep.
The noise! Where our room (in the basement) was located we were just below road level so you had the noise of traffic and people outside the window, we also the staff entrance next to our room so there were constant noise of staff arriving, leaving and chatting. I appreciate these things cannot be helped, but given the price of stay at the hotel it would have been good to know beforehand. However, the purchase of ear plugs and being exhausted from days of exploring the beautiful city; it didn't continue to be a problem after the first night.

This is the most luxurious, low key hotel in the world. It is in a renovated 16th (or so) century building with exquisite furnishings. Sometimes luxurious hotels make me uptight with all the hovering by staff but not here. They are invisible unless you need them, warm, happy to help in any way. Check in is to the right as you enter the courtyard, then someone will escort you to your room. Our room, The Studio, which is actually a one bedroom, was spacious, crisp, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed -- including a small tucked-away mini kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, dishes to cook. Very unexpected. Bed was beyond comfortable and made up with fresh linens daily, something that often doesn't happen post COVID. Breakfast is made to order with Continental also available. Pastries and juices are available all day. The hotel is about a block from the river, a 7 minute walk from the train station, and 15 minutes to the Uffizi. Perfect location to see beautiful Florence then return to the best hotel the city has to offer.
