Lots of boutique hotels claim to be "palaces." This is the real thing, with a truly noble sense of color, of materials, of quiet elegance. I felt cocooned in an oasis of ideal beauty. Sophisticated staff and management make you feel like you're in your own home.

A very clean and comfortable stay. The rooms we hade were spacious. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and service was excellent.
Street noise was a bit much, but when you are in the center of any city it is to be expected.

Nice central location. Staff were very nice. Good breakfast. Rooms were spacious.
Impossible to sleep in the street-facing room I had. Every night drunk passerbys would be yelling in the early hours of the morning. I shuttered all the windows but it still did not help. I was in Florence in late November - not even close to peak season. I can't imagine how bad it would be in the summer. If your room faces the street, don't expect to get good sleep.

My room was absolutely Beautiful!! The breakfast was very good. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. The afternoon tea was wonderful to come back to after a long day of site seeing. Excellent location. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to visit. We receive excellent customer service from the staff. Can not thank them enough for all their help.
The bathroom shower door did not close properly to keep water from going on the floor. This was the only fault I could find with the room.

The property is stunning, comfortable, has a great location for getting around town and the breakfast was delicious. We were blown away by the beauty of this palatial home, which felt full of history and was so beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and loved all the luxurious touches that made us feel like guests in a royal home. Everywhere there were beautiful sitting areas, art, antiques, soaring ceilings and beautiful architecture. Our room was comfortable, quiet and service was top notch. We would stay here again for certain.

Wonderful
The place was amazing, a second story yard with a courtyard and huge trees was impressive. The food and the history of the residence was really interesting.
Our only issue was it was very hard to flush the toilet.
