Hotel was clean and well maintained , close to S M Novella train station....
Hotel overpriced, have stayed in florence a couple of times and decided to try a new hotel the Adler Cavalieri
.. bad decision!!!
Had advised prior to arrival that I had food allergies ,required coeliac foods, and soya milk. The breakfast offered was extremely limited, didn't have cornflakes, couldn't toast my bread , had to ask for plain biscuits, and had no selection of foods, biscuits, or pastries available for a coeliac.
Each morning, I said to the staff that cold soya milk, please, not hot. Also, cereal, I think, was bran flakes (had requested cornflakes) cereal handed to me already poured into a bowl, and the biscuits given open on the plate... as the staff were handling all types of foods and then handling coeliac foods, there was a high risk of cross contamination.
In Italy, there is quite a substantial variety of coeliac foods available, so I was quite shocked that I was given the same foods for breakfast every day and not offered any options which was disappointing as there was a vast amount of options/choices available for people who didn't have any dietary requirements......
Shocked as we were all paying the same price
for breakfast .......
Felt the hotel, and staff were unfamiliar with the dietary requirements and variety of foods available for a coeliac and also the high risk of cross contamination.
Bedroom, some nights I could hear a humming noise or a motor running outside while trying to sleep , I tried using ear plugs but could still hear it. After a couple of nights listening to it, I decided to ring reception and got no reply, so I went down and they investigated and checked the room but couldn't hear the noise... they offered to move me to another room but it was after 1am so I decided not to bother moving...... eventually fell asleep listening to the humming or motor or whatever it was !!!
Overall disappointed with my stay , my experience with the hotel, service and staff was definitely not a four star...

Excellent staff, super friendly and helpful. Accommodated a request to stay for two more days. The bartender Christian was a gem! Super close to train station and easy walk everywhere. Near Piazza Novella which is one of the nicest Ive been in.
I wish it was one price for breakfast or make it a bed and breakfast. Wouldnt keep me from staying here, we really liked it.

The hotel is located near the train station and just a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the attentive staff and check-in and breakfast. Giuseppe greeted us warmly each morning. We enjoyed the Wellness Center as well, especially the big whirlpool.

The Adler Cavalieri Hotel is perfectly located near the train station and not too far to the Duomo. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. We highly recommend it. Thanks

We reserved the spa for one hour and really enjoyed having the whole area to ourselves where we could soak in the hot tub, relax in the chairs and sit in the sauna. The breakfast and wait staff was excellent. We also used the laundry services and they did an excellent job
