The spa is wonderful with hot tub, sauna, steam room and luxurious, relaxing ambience.
I didn’t have the breakfast , so I can’t comment on it , but it seemed kind of expensive.

Hotel was centrally located to so many wonderful sights. Ate dinner there both nights and the meals and their apple pie was delicious. Appreciated the free breakfast buffets- plenty to choose from. We really only interacted with staff at the front desk and in their restaurant- all were professional and willing to help in any way. Thanks for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We were disappointed to race back from Gullfoss to see the Bobby Fischer Museum and find it closed (1/2 an hour before closing time mentioned on our phone.) This was no reflection on the hotel, of course, but perhaps those interested in the BF museum should not cut it close.

Possible to wash your face. It’s the smallest sink I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The service at the restaurant was so poor. We waited 20 minutes to get served. If there wasn’t a blizzard outside, I would have left. The good did not make up for the delay. It was not to our liking.
The vegetarian dish should eliminate the hummus with butternut squash. The flatbread was overcooked and hard.

The staff was very friendly and they offered a call if northern lights were visible which was fantastic! The lobby was very nice as was the location!
The room had a LOT of weird stains on the carpet though overall felt clean and large. It was much more dated than the lobby, so a bit of a surprise.

The room was very nice and we liked the view of the river. Excellent shower! Loved the breakfast.
Not really a serious problem at all but would like to offer constructive criticism: instead of staff using the very public glass elevators, have them use the other elevator to move cleaning equipment. The glass elevators are so nice!
