Very Good
The room is clean, bed and duvets comfortable and location is excellent. The staff were very helpful and nice too. I find a little pricey but overall we were very happy with the hotel. One nice little extra is that they had a coffee machine in the room.
A little pricey and didn't have a kettle which I would have liked considering it was very cold and needed something hot aside from a coffee.

Wonderful
Great location and a bit quieter than closer to the main shopping street. Room was much larger than I expected, which was great. Easy to walk to restaurants, 20 min to Hallgrimskirkja- which was perfect.
Our upstairs neighbors were heavy footed- which woke us up a couple of times. But I think that was an exceptional circumstance.

This was the most expensive place we stayed in Iceland but we felt like we got a ton of value from it. It’s centrally located making it easy to walk to all the sights and your pick up spots. The breakfast is AMAZING and saved us a ton of money on food. There’s a huge spread of hot (beautifully friend eggs, sausage, etc.), cold (lox, fruit, veg, skyr, cereal, etc.) and baked options that we truly looked forward to breakfast every day. Our room was also spacious and really comfortable.
Everything was really great here. If we are being picky, the bathroom was a bit small, but super nice and clean.

Very friendly and professional. We didn't know you could pay and add breakfast. We paid on location and it was very good.

Wonderful
Loved this hotel. The location is perfect. You are steps away from countless dining and shopping options. The floor of the bathroom is heated so it made my feet happy after long walks or being cold. The breakfast was very yummy. One morning the dining room was full, so they opened the bar area to allow more seating which was very helpful as I was limited on time. Highly recommend this hotel
Occasionally the toilet had a flushing issue, as if it was low on water. It would resolve itself, so staff was needed to fix it.

Very Good
The hotel is right in the centre of Old Reykjavik and very accessible, within easy walking distance of sights, restaurants, and bus stop #1 by city hall. The room was large with ample storage space, very warm given the deep freeze outside in February, and had a knock-off nespresso machine as well as mini-fridge.
The shower stall was not properly sealed at the bottom of its door, which resulted in water seeping under and inundating the bathroom floor. Some of the staff (Emilia) could work on their people skills, especially considering that such skills are absolutely necessary in the hospitality industry. Upon When checking out we needed to leave three luggage pieces in storage for a few hours. Emilia couldn’t be bothered to take the luggage into the storage so I did her job and when I asked if there was some sort of tag identification given the many items already in storage she seemed bothered by my request. Such an attitude has no place if one chooses to work at a hotel.

Very Good
The property is centrally located near city hall and in a pleasant pedestrian zone surrounded by restaurants. The bus stop for tours and to the airport is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel seems to incorporated within a small archeological museum, but we didn’t access it as we were not given any info about it.
The room could have used a better clean as the closet was full of dust. Additionally, a woman’s undergarments were left from a previous stay. The staff needs to work on being more courteous with its guests. Upon checking in, we were given a very cold reception by Emilia at the front desk despite being the only guests checking in and it being early evening so there was no excuse for the lack of smile or enthusiasm deserved to new clients (this is the hospitality industry after all). Any information we received from Emilia was not voluntarily provided but instead given only after much inquiring. Basics, for instance regarding gym operation times, what is located nearby, opening hours for breakfast, what is the archaeological exhibit enclosed in the hotel, etc. these are information items that need to be provided to guests without them having to ask. Also, the room had a vent blasting cold air in the room despite it being winter outside which made for an uncomfortable sleep.

We loved the location of the Hotel Reykjavik Centrum. 2 blocks from Bus Stop #1 for airport service and tour services. The breakfasts were delicious and diverse. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. We arrived early and were allowed to check in early for a small fee which was wonderful. It’s a long flight from U.S. so settling in versus storing our luggage was a perfect start. We were celebrating my sons 50th birthday, I am 75 and the location was ideal for exploring the town and all transportation needs.
For my son and me there were no downsides to our stay at the Hotel Reykjavik Centrum.

Employees were nice
The room was so hot, we had open the windows, but it was still so hot, and then it was noisy. Worst sleep of my entire trip.
