Location was excellent, within a short walk of downtown shops, Harpa, restaurants, etc. Although there isn't any on-site parking, there is a parking garage you can see from the entrance and is less than a 5 min walk - be advised in advance though, you need to have the Parka or EasyPark app downloaded in advance (I wish I had known this prior, but is no fault of the staff - they did let us know about the garage well in advance :) ). Once I got the app situation figured out through the jet lag, it was easy to use. The breakfast provided was wonderful and full of healthy options (fruit, oatmeal, cereals, deli meats for crackers/toast, veggies) - which coming from the US and being used to the standard American diet options of scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and waffles, was a very nice change! Check in was flawless, we were provided with instructions on how to use the door keypad and were able to check in ourselves, as we arrived about 30 min prior to the time we had planned. The bed was super comfy and we both slept like rocks our first night in Iceland!!
The only issue was the shower curtain/height for my tall husband haha but thats no fault of the owners - just keep that in mind if you are over 6'1'' - not sure how the other bathrooms are styled either, it could have just been how ours was.

Disappointing
Bed is very poor. Like a sinking Titanic. Yo cant call it a bed, its more like a birdsnest thats been used by an elifant.

I really enjoyed the location, you have everything you need within walking distance. I used to live in the area and always wondered what this place looked like inside and I finally got the chance. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice and elegant and clean it all is. Its a lovely little place to stay for both the start of your trip and the end.
The lock to get into the main entrance was a little confusing at first but later became quite interesting. I havent seen anything like it, I need to update my own technologies

The hotel is excellent. It is an old house in Reykjavik but beautifully renovated, and it is placed in a quiet street 5 minutes away from the city hall.
Breakfast was superb and full of local products.
The host was very kind, she gave us some great tips

Location and everything else!
Nothing. Taller folks might want to request a room among the options with highest ceilings.

We loved EVERYTHING!! The B&B was so clean and comfortable. We arrived early and we were able to stow our luggage while we explored the area. Then we received a prompt message telling us our room was ready early and we could check in, which was so kind since we were definitely jet lagged and needed to rest a bit. Our room was spacious and even had a washing machine. We loved the privacy our room afforded us but also the "community" breakfast. We were greeted each morning with a smile and a lovely breakfast spread. Everything was delicious and helped us get ready to head out on our explorations. The location of this B&B is perfect for exploring Reykjavik. Most everything you would want to see is within easy walking distance. Shopping, restaurants, and most attractions are just steps away. But the place is far enough removed from the hustle and bustle that it is still quiet. Steinunn even said that she has been able to see the Northern Lights from her kitchen windows before. Steinunn and her staff were also wonderful and so helpful with directions and suggestions of things to see and do as well as how to get to them. We hope to come back to Iceland sometime and will definitely try to book Reykjavik Treasure B&B again.
