Location is OK but needed to walk to get to the tour pick up Room was small and backs into a housing area and we could hear the community - baby crying, construction, etc. Breakfast is ok

Very Good
We loved the spacious family suite as four friends traveling together. That restaurant was also wonderful.
The man at the front desk when we arrived and checked in was extremely rude and unhelpful to me and then to my friend who was asking about transfer to the airport. As a New Yorker it takes a lot for me to find someone gruff and rude.

Wonderful
The staff was excellent and always helpful when we had a question. The location was very good (close to the main shopping area and other attractions) We traveled through the country a lot and was helpful to have a good location when we were back in Reyjkavik to make it more convenient. The hotel itself was good overall in all aspects and it was nice having the restaurant attached and was an excellent restaurant (Snaps) We chose the 4th floor and the views of the city were great!
I have back issues so beds are sometimes an issue but the bed wasnt bad and better than some other hotels we stayed at

Wonderful
Although it was a bit cold to enjoy it, I did step out on the balcony and we had a nice view of the city and a courtyard and also the ocean.

Within walking distance of shops, restaurant, and church. Available breakfast at restaurant easy access to lobby was very convenient. Staff very helpful and let me access room upon my arrival in early morning.

We used this as our base for a hike on the Laugavegur trail. Staff was very accommodating, and the location is by food, a laundry, and a short-ish (15 minute) walk to the bus station. Street parking was easy to figure out and the room was big enough for us plus gear.

Wonderful
We chose a junior suite and they gave us the one on the top floor. It was great! Great location, fantastic staff and very warm/hot.. The breakfast was great but with very limited choices (especially that we spent a week). The only veggies they served were cucumbers and tomatoes.. overall, it was a great place ?? The location was good
It was hot in our room even with the windows open. I also hated that the water is very sulfuric. I know its safe to use, its just so nasty to use it to brush your teeth.

Hot water smelled of rotten eggs or sulfur other than that the hotel was very well run. I know Iceland is expensive to visit and the hotel was not cheap to eat at. Will not return to Iceland because of the cost of everything. I know it's not the hotels fault for pricing but what I spent on food in Iceland was outrageous.

The location is perfect! My bed was so comfortable (first time I've slept more than 6 hours in a month). The room was everything I needed, and it was so nice having the restaurant and bar there.
The window in the bathroom needs some love. The shower curtain kept getting stuck to me. It's a tight squeeze. ? A curved rod would probably help.
