Wonderful
Breakfast was excellent and located easily from lobby yet close enough.
Elevators. I had asked for a 1st floor room. Was given a 2nd floor room but it was changed to 1st floor.

Disappointing
Location is right downtown and across the street from the most photographed building in Iceland.
1. 4-story hotel with no elevators. Consider this if you are bringing a lot of luggage or have bad knees, hips, etc.
2. Tiny rooms with world’s tiniest shower. Even midgets will struggle in this one! My room had the ceiling angled downward due to the roof, and half my room was set up for dwarfs, not real people.
3. No hot food for breakfast. It’s all straight out of the fridge so they don’t need a cook or much prep work. There is a toaster. No eggs, bacon, sausage, beans . . . you know, the usual foods people have for breakfast, especially while on vacation.

Exceptional
We could not have been closer to the big church. It was directly outside our window. The location of the hotel is fantastic! Breakfast was delicious! The front desk person gave us dinner and Northern Lights viewing suggestions. Hot drinks were always available.

The bathroom was so small that reminded me of the WC of a sailing boat We had asked for free parking but arrived to find out that there was no parking offered but the hotel Both room and bathroom smell badly nNo elevator Run down infrastructure Oberall I would avoid it

Location of the hotel is excellent.
Breakfast is excellent and access to coffee machine 24/7
Also made us a packed breakfast for the day we checked out before breakfast served.
lack of kettle in room- but that is a person preference
room is small side by seems to be the standard for iceland

The hotel is perfectly located in a very central location, and the staff were great - helpful and able to answer all of our questions. Would definitely recommend!
There was no fan in the bathroom, which quickly steamed up from showers. A fan would be a very nice addition!

Great location in the center of Reykjavik. Good breakfast and nice rooms overlooking the church.
Need to carry bags up to the third floor since there is no elevator. The staff did help.

Excellent location hear iconic Leif Eriksson statue and church, only a short walk down to shops and restaurants, very friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic buffet breakfast .
My room was very warm, but this seems to be standard in Iceland... Easily sorted with opening window.

Location was great. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.
The hotel just looks cheap. The room is dark. Power outlets are in odd places. There are surge protectors plugged into other surge protectors. The sink was in the shower. The water smelled like sulfur. The door to the room was difficult to close and lock. I can normally get past some of this stuff but for over $300 a night this is pretty disappointing.

The hotel was great. The staff really went above and beyond for my family, which included an 18 month old. They had the crib already set up for her. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the hotel is at a great location in Reykjavik.
There needs to be additional lighting in the room, near the door. Also, there's a dip in the shower for the drain, but it's super dangerous. I nearly slipped, as did my daughter.

Location was perfect for walkability. Room was a bit small but good enough for our needs. Not "noisy" but we were on ground floor and you could hear people talking on the street outside Windows.
The online showed that there was parking. the parking was not included or part of the hotel itself. it was across the street and first come first serve, hard to find a spot.

Location is the greatest value here. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was super nice and helped us with all our questions and book a taxi to the airport.
No elevator so we had to power some of our luggage but we had help from the staff. The bathroom of our room had a step so there's a risk of falling if you're going to the bathroom there.
