Very Good
Nice staff, good food at the hotel restaurant and the location is convenient enough as long as you don't mind using public transport (it''s a short bus trip into central Reykjavik).
Breakfast was nice but a little pricey

The young woman at the front desk helped us tremendously! She helped us plan our day, saved us money by buying tickets to the Hop On Hop Off bus and the Perlan Museum and made great recommendations for restaurants.
The price, like all things in Iceland, is highly inflated for the value that you get! Anywhere else in the world this would be $100-$125 room, but certainly not $246. It’s a decent hotel but nothing I’d write home about! The room is small and somewhat cramped but adequate. The breakfast was somewhat limited with only the basics. The spa was closed on Sunday, the one free day we had all day.

Very Good
The breakfast was convenient but it would have been nice if it was included in the price of the room. Additionally, for rooms with balcony access, it would be good to have some furniture out on the balcony so you can sit out at night watching for the northern lights

My room was clean and attractively decorated. The balcony and windows gave an opportunity to see the aurora borealis although it was cloudy during my stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. My spa treatment with Monica was amazing. She really did an excellent job of helping me relax and was informative while also leaving some quiet time during the session.
It is about a 20 minute walk to downtown Reykjavík and public street parking was not super easy.

Taxis were readily available and the press of the button. Clean facilities and wonderful staff.
A little far from activities and taxis are a little expensive. We knew this going in, but definitely noticed it during a rainy evening.

Wonderful
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We only stayed I night and left early in the morning. Didn't frequent the bar, restaurant or spa services but would consider on a future visit. I thought that parking would be an issue but was fine.

Clean hotel, good breakfast. We booked twin room which was comfortable enough for 4 people. Bathroom was large and very clean as well. Free street parking
Distance from city center is 2.5km, so we had to drive into town.

Disappointing
close to airport
entrance was boarded up with ply wood, in a state of disrepair, more importantly the shower didn't drain. Water built up so quickly in the shower you had to turn the water off scrub up and quickly wash off after and still water was close to spilling out of the shower area into the bathroom floor

Wonderful
Our room was beautiful, overlooking the mountains, sea! Spa was great, traditional sauna was very nice! People at the front desk were helpful, friendly. The price was reasonable. This was our 2nd time staying here, and we enjoyed it as much or more than the first time! The coffee shop behind the hotel was awesome, delicious oreo frappaccino type blended drink (Kaffee Tee?).
It would have been nice if the spa was open later at night and earlier in the morning, so we could have used it every day! Our room didn't have a single chair which was kind of strange. It had a couch, but when we had visitors, we all had to sit on the couch. Ice was hard to come by (athough we did work out a system where we were able to get it from the breakfast people). It would be nice if they had more of a store onsite.

Disappointing
Dinner was good both nights. Room size nice.
-No phone in the room, I had to walk down to the front desk for help multiple (many) times, as there was no phone in the room. The front desk agent came up to my room to show me where it was and was perplexed to not find one. He concluded it must have been stolen, could not promise me that it would be replaced during my stay, and it was not. I could not use my foreign cell phone as I could not connect. I felt that the front desk agents were annoyed, and not apologetic.
-The refrigerator was cold when I arrived but had stopped overnight. I had to throw food out, salvaged one sandwich that was put in the staff fridge for me by the overnight desk agent. She said she would look into getting it repaired. I came back from a long day and it was still warm. I checked with the afternoon agent, who seemed not to know about it. I believe she looked at notes on her computer and said 'ok'. It was fixed when I returned.
-Housekeeping did not refresh my room and there was food from the broken down fridge in the trash. I had to ask to have it done.
-THE SPA - I had planned a 3:30, 1 hour massage followed by a one hour facial. The massage therapist was late, and I was not informed until I went down for my appointment. I was delayed by 30 minutes which pushed back the facial. My services were to end by 18:45. I did not leave the spa almost 19:30. I had to cancel dinner plans with local friends and was not able to see them before I left. I must say that the massage therapist who was late, did not apologize, this offended me deeply. He did mention the busses there are 'a mess' and late a lot, He placed blame for his lateness on them. Someone relying on public transportation and knowing this, should manage their time better. I went into the service very stressed and could not enjoy it. I still have hot stone burns on my back and stomach, as well. I saved money for this trip, the spa being something I was very much looking forward to. I regret wasting my money there.
