Exceptional
Nice modem hotel in a good location. The rooms were big and comfortable The free on site parking is a big plus especially for the Reykjavik area. The restaurant had good food but the menu was extremely limited. It was a little further outside the tourist areas than it looks on the map to walk so a car or bus ride is beneficial.

The room was very comfortable. staff were very responsive and helpful.
Only we had to fill drinking water from the tap. The only issue was only washroom tap was available for filling up the water otherwise you had to come down to the lobby to fill it up from the drinking station. I had informed the staff that they cannot expect someone to fill up water from a wash room tap. A separate drinking tap needs to be provided in each room

The rooms (especially when facing the water)
While location great for access to highway and has good parking, walking in winter to downtown is a bit tough. It is still walkable though. It would be a nice walk by the water in the summer.

Located where the tour bus picks up which was definitely a plus for us! The Front desk staff was VERY efficient! Room was very bright, clean, and roomy. The executive lounge was a plus for us after a long day of tours to come back to mini sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
Breakfast seemed chaotic for lack of seating and clean tables at times. Perhaps it’s because of the tour groups staying there. But a nice selection of food.

The breakfast buffet was very good. I like the location for day trips out of Reykjavik.
Hotel starting to show age. My curtains wouldn't close all the way; weren't hanging straight. Gaps let in light. Bathroom door wouldn't close without using a lot of force. Would be nice to have directions for foreigners on how shower works. It took me a while to figure it out.

Most of staff was outstanding. Only one staff waitress/supervisor was not up to Hilton standards.
One waitress was rude, condescending, and discriminatory towards tourists. Alma was NOT up to Hilton standards. She openly resented tourists.
