If traveling with a car---there really isn't any specific parking lot for the guesthouse as the online description made it seem - parking is around the city blocks. I specifically booked this place because they said they had parking. It was confusing as there is a sheet in the kitchen downstairs that indicates you should pay at specific times and zones but there were not any pay meters we could find. We were able to pull close and drop off bags, then took a chance and just parked where ever we could find a spot without paying for the night. No fines that we know of yet!!

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Despite the shared bathrooms we never saw another guest.
The staff at check-in was competent but brusque.
Some of our party arrived near the end of breakfast and the food choices were limited due to running out of some items.

Great location, clean, has everything you need and easy to find.
The staff did not seem to be around. Whilst this wasn’t too much of an issue most of the time, there was no one around to help me store my luggage so I had to do this myself. Then when I came back to collect my luggage to go to the airport, again, there was no one around and someone had locked the door!

I liked everything about this little place. The room was very comfortable. Had everything I needed. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect. The staff and the people there were so friendly and never felt unwelcome.
My room was right on the street. I didn’t need to wear earplugs because of the traffic.

I love everything about this place. I was sceptical about staying in a guest house with a shared bathroom, but when I arrived, I was amazed at the facilities and the entire environment. And the breakfast was good as well, straightforward to get around so many places, the church is just in front, the harbour is not far, the city centre, the museum, and so many other places around here, when next I am in Reykjavik I will be here again, because I love it. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. Love you guys

Very nice room, quite and clean! The breakfast was very good and I was impressed how the staff works hard to guarantee the host satisfaction
The bathroom, only the toilet, people don’t respect too much and for the women is very hard to share the same, but this did not interfere in our stay

The guesthouse is ideally located beside the tour bus pick up location and 5 minutes walking from the city centre and train station.
Breakfast was lovely - plenty of choices, newly baked bread and fresh coffee.
The room was very small and the radiator was not working. The door handle constantly fell off when you opened or closed the door. the net curtains kept falling down so we had to leave the curtains closed for privacy.
Overpriced for very basic facilities.

Excellent central location. I stayed here for the Marathon and it was a short walk to the start and finish. The room was basic but functional and very clean. All staff that we encountered were very friendly. I had a hire car and there is plenty of free parking just a little down hill (you have to pay further up) and also on the street opposite beside the church. The room also has a small fridge, a microwave, kettle and sink. The showers were decent enough with plenty of hot water. Well-equipped kitchen in the aurora guesthouse round the corner which you can use to make dinner.
The room is very small and if sharing with a family member or friend it's not ideal. There is no TV but the WiFi is good. The entrance door was very heavy which my Mum struggled a little with. It also opens straight into steps so bear this in mind if mobility is limited. You check in at another guesthouse round the corner and also fetch your towels there. Breakfast is served there and to be honest, for Scandinavia, it's disappointing. There is lots of bread and condiments, one type of luncheon meat (not the best quality), tomatoes, peppers, hard-boiled eggs, one cheese, cereals, a couple of juices and tea / coffee. I didn't think this property was great in terms of value for money.
