The hotel is positioned in the centre, right in the centre. it was really easy to go on trips by taking the buses from station nr.1, which is exactly 3 minutes walk. You have everything around, and you can get anywhere by foot easily.
Breakfast starts really early and lasts till 10.00 , so that was very good. Coffee is really good!
The Staff was great. We actually had some problems, my son got sick and the staff help us to get transfer to emergency room, they were super helpful.
Room was of a decent size, clean and well equipped, with very comfortable beds.
Overall everything was good, only small issues : the lift was a bit slow and the hotel can get really crowded in the common areas.

Hotel is centrally located which is great to walk around the city. Rooms are modern and efficient, and building seems to have a good maintenance program in place.
Hotel is modern and new, so it does not have much of an Icelandic feel to it which is not too bad.

The bed in one of our rooms had fresh blood on the sheets. Staff was called and they brought fresh linens to the room. We had to change everything ourselves at 12:30 AM.

The location was perfect, the hotel was excellent, very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was also very good.our room had a large window and we could see the northern lights from sitting in bed. The whole experience was excellent.

Pleasant helpful staff, awesome location, comfortable beds, good full breakfast buffet daily (you must include with room when booking). Breakfast includes hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potato patties, beans, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, lunch meat, cheese, variety of fresh cut up fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal, dry cereal, asst pastires and breads and rolls, cucumber slices, picles, and wonderful pickled herring. It was so good and worth the money given price of food in Iceland. I cannot speak highly enough about choosing this hotel. We normally stay at lesser expensive hotels, bit this is well worth every penny! Bus stop is 3 to 5 minute easy walk and taxis are always available in front of hotel. Sights, restaurants, convenience stores, bars, and shopping available nearby. The room size sounds small but it is actually quite roomy with plenty of shelves and closet and refrigerator. Also place to lay wet or damp clothes or hiking boots on wall heater to dry clothes out.

The staff, location, lobby and breakfast amenities were all fantastic! The price was also superb value by comparison to other European hotels. Beautifully decoratied for the holidays, too.
I read the reviews regarding noise from the plaza (the front-facing portion of the hotel) and presumed those were reflective of summer skateboarding and other revelry on the plaza. WHOOPS! I should have asked more questions, as there is an iceskating rink placed there in winter, with loud music played into the night. I did request a room on the back of the hotel but did not sweat it when we saw we were on the front side. We had just flown in, so the ole jetlag was hitting...the noice from the plaza made sleep challenging. Otherwise, the room would have been just perfect.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!! The staff was so helpful, the space was beautiful, our room was a great size, the beds and bedding were super comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was phenomenal! So many great details as well, like USB ports at the plug and convenient, easy, secure (and free!) luggage storage. Couldn’t recommend more!!

It was very well located, with restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was also very friendly.
The rooms were dusty. The sheets seemed clean enough but there was visible dust. For the price, I would expect something cleaner.
