Wonderful
Location and style and radiant floors
Stag members giving in accurate rates for rides since there are no Ubers in Iceland
The staff arranged an hour ride to and from an event and the actual cost was close to double the quite
We were told if the quote given was different we would be contacted and we were not
$ 260 US to $571 is a huge difference!!!!
Not happy about that!!!

Fantastic hotel in the heart of the city! My father is handicapped (wobbly on his legs, uses a cane) and had no trouble in this hotel. It was more expensive than other options, but my parents wanted to stay somewhere that was a quick, easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops (shout out Te & Kaffi's amazing latte), and included breakfast. The breakfast was honestly one of the highlights of our whole trip!! Subtle changes in the breakfast offerings every day, like one day the eggs were scrambled and the next day it was a quiche, and the next poached eggs. But every day they had amazing nova/lox, breads and jam, ham and bacon, pastries, the most delicious oatmeal + toppings bar, and so much more. We never thought we'd be so excited to go down for breakfast every day haha! Our room was the One-Bedroom King Suite, and it fulfilled all our needs. My parents slept in the king bed, and I slept on the sleeper sofa out in the living room (a door separates the bedroom from the living area). When we arrived, the sleeper sofa was set up in mattress mode and looked super cozy and cute! It was comfortable enough for me, better than a lot of sleeper sofas. The shower had great water pressure and was nice and hot. Shampoo/conditioner/soap etc smelled great and was some indie brand from NYC if I recall. My mom loved soaking in the beautiful claw foot tub. Go up to the top floor and follow signs for the rooftop- the view is amazing on a clear day! You can see the water and a mountain range. (Attached a photo of the view from the roof.)
We had a rental car and brought our American handicap tag. First ~30 hours or so, parked in the nearby garage that the hotel recommends, in the handicap spot. Not too expensive, but it adds up. However, driving around the city, I noticed a lot of available handicap spaces for street parking. Googled it and apparently Reykjavik is super accommodating to handicapped folks and parking in those spots is completely free! (With an internationally-recognized handicap tag, of course.) A city website also mentioned that even parking in the paid garage is free in the handicap spots, but you have to call a number and give your license plate or something..? Before moving the car, I went to the front desk and asked them to clarify the handicap parking rules. This was a (rare) blind spot in their knowledge, and even bringing over someone else, they didn't know either. So I YOLO'ed, moved the car to park for free in a super-convenient street spot right next to the hotel entrance, and luckily it worked out. I'm sure the staff immediately brushed up on the handicap parking information right after I asked haha.
A lot of hotels have been adopting this trend for a while now, but honestly I am so over bathrooms not having proper doors, or fans. Instead of a door that latches or locks, the bathroom door was a sliding barn-door type thing. If my dad is having a poo in there, I need that room to be FULLY SEALED with a fan, not this sliding door business!!!

This hotel met all of my expectations and delivered a great experience from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, the amenities were well-maintained, and everything ran smoothly throughout my stay. It felt like a reliable, comfortable place to unwind, and I left genuinely impressed with how consistently good everything was

The property was located right in the heart of Reykjavík- minutes away from hundreds of restaurants and bus stop 6 (very important if you plan to have activities that involve bus pick-up). The property was spotless! The interior was nicely decorated. The room was really comfortable with everything one might need. The restaurant on premises was also a great addition and food was great. We had the breakfast every morning before we left for the day and it was more than enough.
If I had to point one thing, it would be the charge for early check-in (even for Hilton Honors members). I have traveled a lot and I don’t remember such a charge. Usually, if the room is ready they let you in.
