Wonderfull staff, especially Daniel at front desk went above and beyond to assist us with maps and directions.
This would have been an excellent stay if it were not for the street noise. Unbearable loud music and noise right outside our window up to 3AM.

Very central location, excellent staff, great food options around
As you would expect buildings in Iceland are designed to keep the heat in as much as possible. That’s not so ideal in August. To make the room bearable from the heat perspective meant we had to leave a window open which invited the light from the late evening sun and noise from the bars and parks across the street well into the night.

I had a problem with my reservation (my own fault) which the desk clerk worked to resolve for me. He got it sorted in a few minutes, so I was very grateful. The hotel is lovely, and its location in the very center of town is fantastic. I was traveling alone and felt safe there. It overlooks a park and a café with street seating. The breakfast is expensive at $35, but the quality of the food was very good with smoked fish as an option.

The spa is a bit small, couldn’t accommodate two massages at the same time, and the floor is very slippery which is dangerous for a spa.

The hotel is the best hotels i stayed during our two-week travel in Iceland. The location is perfect, close to everything. The room is reasonable size, and rather quiet as we were not sure about the noise since there are pubs and restaurants that are surrounding the hotel. But the staff are very friendly and accommodating our requests. We didn't have breakfast due to early check out.
