Clean room. Everything was automated. I didn't meet a staff member till breakfast the next day.
1. I couldn't take my breakfast (2 bread rolls and 2 boiled eggs) with me because I was running late for an excursion. Other hotels wouldn't mind. Some ive stayed at would offer a to go package or pack something up for you like a pack of yoghurt, fruit and a muffin. Nothing crazy jusy something small. I was bummed about this.
2. Parking was difficult due to the construction opposite the hotel i think.

The property was very clean with modern bathrooms. I liked how smooth the check-in and check-out processes were. They also offer complimentary breakfast.
The hotel in general looked fairly old. My TV didn’t work. You had to pay extra for cleaning staff to come take out your trash and wash your towels within your stay. Although not far from downtown, the location for parking is very inconvenient!

The room was modern, clean, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect — close to the city center but still quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Parking options nearby were limited.

I liked the self-checkin, as I arrived around 01:00 in the morning. It worked without any issues. Room was clean and warm, bed very comfortable. Bus stop 12, where several bus tours start is just 500 meters from the hotel.
Not the best location, but Reykjavik centre is not that far if it is not raining.

It was very cozy and clean and above all very safe.
You really need someone there at check-in . A lot of us that were there to take the cruise the next day had never been to Iceland and it would have been very helpful to have someone physically there to answer questions. There really wasn’t much within walking distance as far as Restaurants etc…

I stayed here several years ago when it was known as 22 Hill and loved it. I miss the staff but was not disappointed with the service in advance and my stay. Breakfast was good as well.
Miss a staff person to greet me but that is not needed for my experience.

Location was central and very accessible. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Free parking was an added perk, but the lots are limited and fill up pretty quickly early on. No worries if the lots are full though, there's paid parking on the street perpendicular to the hotel that's only charged till 9pm.
There was construction going on across the street, which was quite noisy during the day especially if the window was opened.

Great location and clean. Free parking was a great bonus.
Staff were very quick to respond to questions via message and self check in was very easy. One minor recommendation would be to have a microwave in the suite, but by no means a big deal. Great place!

The property is very close to shopping stores, grocery stores and restaurants. It’s also located in a nice quiet area. When issues arise, the property was fast to respond.
The downside to this property is that their keypads didn’t work often and would leave people out of the hotel until someone came to fix it. The mini fridge in the room is small and does not have a freezer. There are no microwaves available or a community microwave available. They will not clean your room for your stay, they will charge you if you need your room cleaned or need new towels. This should be part of your stay and not charged extra. I understand maybe not a daily cleaning but at least on request. There is only 1 small trash can in the room so it fills up quick. The pillows need to be replaced as they are small and very lumpy.

Location and time room cleanness
The lack of a reception desk and face-to-face contact with hotel staff was not ideal. We checked in around 3 pm and went out to visit the city. By 5 pm, I received a message from staff telling us we must empty the room before 11 am the next day and asking what time we planned to leave so they could prepare the room for the next guest. This felt uncomfortable, as we hadn’t even been in the room for three hours before being asked when we’d be leaving.
In the morning, we couldn’t find the breakfast room. The hotel description said it was in the restaurant next door, but this wasn’t clear. When we called for help, the staff member on the phone was not polite—she kept saying she didn’t understand me, questioned whether we were even guests, and asked for our room number in a condescending tone. This was disappointing.
The breakfast itself was fine, but definitely not like the photos.
In the room, the bedside lamps were poorly designed—when turned off, they still emitted a weak light, which made it very hard to sleep.
Overall, the experience felt pricey for what was offered. The self check-in and lack of human interaction created a strange atmosphere and didn’t feel welcoming.
