It's located close to a supermarket and has access to a restaurant that serves breakfast buffet (was not able to try though). It is also close to bus stops. The room is decent and clean. The process for the self check-in is clear and straightforward. They have a lobby where you can stay while waiting for your time to go to the airport after check out. The lobby also has WC and a locked luggage storage with security camera.

Check in and check out was very simple. The luggage storage area was very convenient.
The room size on our second stay was much better than the first night that we stayed the first stay that we had the room was very small.

A place to stay
1. It says “self-check, no receptionist” which is totally fine but what they don’t say is there is NO STAFF ON SITE to help with anything.
2. We booked a triple room, it was not set up and I spent far too much time wandering the hotel to find sometime, trying to call, emailing, trying to find a label so I could look up how to make the pull out bed work. Eventually, someone emailed me back with a screenshot video of how to work the bed since no one, at 4pm, was on site.
3. You will be in a construction zone with dusty windows. They say “ city views” but they just mean scaffolding from multiple work zones.
4. Security—an alarm went off because someone was trying to get in our room. There is no manual lock. Turns out he had our room booked for the previous night… but how did we get in the building. Likewise, someone followed us from the main door entry, fine ok, but since your building entry is the same code as your room entry, someone could easily follow you.
5. The construction felt like a facade. Looks nice in photos but in actuality, the bathroom doorknob falls off, the show head is hanging from the ceiling, the toilet paper is installed you my 9 year old couldn’t reach it from sitting, the bed isn’t set up etc.

The beds were extremely comfortable. Clean rooms and hallways overall. Modern and chic.
Bathrooms: Showers were too close to the toilet and drain didn’t catch all the water.

Very easy check in. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Good location.
Poor internet. It would constantly disconnect and I had to sit on the floor next to the door to get continuous connection. Not ideal, given the room was so small, it should have extended into the room.

The self check in process was easy. The room was clean and comfortable and good for what we needed for 4 people for 1 night.
Parking was very difficult to figure out. They said there was a free lot across the street but I honestly don't think it exists anymore due to new construction. We were counting on free parking which was in the listing, but had to pay for street parking. The shower situation was also very odd and it was easy to basically flood the bathroom if you didn't have the doors just perfect. But this was something that you just needed to pay attention to.

The room is clean, and even the sofa bed is pretty comfortable.
The customer service is pretty responsive.
The television is not available which is just a normal facility to be provided.

I first was bit sceptical to book this hotel judging by the economical rates they offered compared to conventional Reykjavik city hotels. Hence after the stay, it went well beyond my expectations and I am very happy. The self check-in was easiest ever, nice comfortable room, very neat and clean toilet, equipped with a tv, fridge and coffee maker. I must mention the staff were very responsive and fast. The hotel is just 10 mins walk from center and 5 mins from the marine drive. If you are looking for the best hotel with decent rates, then this is the one to stay at Reykjavik. I personally rate and recommend this place very highly!
