Self contained with ample if free space between properties.
The Main Street light outside the cabin needs to be turned off. It appears to stay on all night which takes away some of the darkness when trying to view the auroras.

Location is nice - setting is great
Overpriced and not clean - no body wash or soap and expect you to clean the whole property lol we spent $450 a night for this…doesn’t make sense - better to go elsewhere

Location - proximity of a beautiful bay. The house itself is cosy, homelike,hot tub just perfect.
Location - the city is getting dangerously close. Is not there yet,but could destroy the gentle sorroundings too soon.

Pretty clean. Nice size. Beautiful location.
It was a little run down. I would not even dare try to use the hot tub. There were a lot of rules and chores and instructions. It was just probably the least hospitable stay on our trip. Didn’t love it. It was decent. But that’s about it.

Privacy of the property
I asked the host daughter on site on Sunday if they could clear the road to the cabin of snow, they didn’t. On Tuesday I crashed the car as I couldn’t see the road due to deep snow, had to get towed out by a local. Road should have been kept clear to the cabin, they failed and left us in danger!

Great location and beautiful setting while still being very accessible to the amenities of Akureyri. Excellent that the property had a great grill, own hot tub and a fully-stocked kitchen not lacking any utensils or crockery at all, even as far as a garlic press, egg slicer, meat tenderiser, sandwich toaster and 2 different coffee makers! Unusual to have such an excellent kitchen in a property such as this - no problem whatsoever preparing meals.
Furniture, beds and living area very comfortable. Smart TV.
Pets welcome.
The oven was a bit weak.
The outdoor light overlooking the grill & hot tub wasn't working.
Very minor complaints though the cottage was really great.

The home was so clean and cozy, it was very easy to check in, it felt like a really relaxing place to stay amongst travel and make our home base
Perhaps more pillows or blankets on the couch for coziness, but that really is a very minor thing and would just mean more laundry

The location was perfect. Close to the city of Akureyri and its shops, but in a quiet, rural setting with views of the fjord.
The only minor inconvenience was the hot tub. It was difficult to regulate the temperature and having to fill it up each time we wanted to use it was unusual. The tap location could be more accessible.
