It's greenery and specially the couples were so helpful. Rooms are too big and cozy. Clean and hygeine. Awesome breakfast. We have taken 2 nights it was paisa vasool.
The only thing they should provide kettle for heating water.

Very good location, close to a strip with a lot of gift shops.The host was extremely helpful with organizing local activities. The house is very cozy with a lot of plants around providing a very nice ambiance.

An absolutely exceptional homestay - we could not have been happier. The photos do not do the room justice - it really was something very special. Not only did we have a lovely room with an incredible private outdoor courtyard, but the family could not have been more welcoming or hospitable. We had an amazing meal with them on our second night, and a lovely time chatting through everything from Indian to UK politics. Their entire ethos was evident in the note next our bedroom door, which we've attached. The world would be a happier place with more people like these in it.

The family is very warm and welcoming, the rooms are modern and very comfortable. Food is delicious, freshly made everyday by Bincy and her wonderful helper.
There are beautiful plants all over the property which give it a nurturing feel.
Highly recommended for solo travellers!
Bincy and her helper also taught me how to make a few Indian dishes in the morning, which was a lot of fun too!
If you're coming to Kumily, Periyar Inn Homestay is a must!

The hospitality was great, we were welcome very warmly. The rooms are surrounded with green vegetation, little paradise in a quiet location. Even a monkey family was visiting us. Received assistance and good advice for our travel. Full recommendation

I loved the property, the privacy, the plants, the location but the hosts are what really made it the best with their hospitality, flexibility and overall support through the whole stay.
The first room I had was very comfortable but I extended my stay one more night and moved to the smaller room and the sheets were a bit rough and not as comfy bed so if you want a little more softer sheets and comfy bed - stay in the larger double room!

I liked the quiet setting, the greenery and plants all around the balconies and even in my room. The host family were so kind, helpful and welcoming. They gave really good suggestions for trips and booked me a driver for my onward journey. The highlight for me however were the Keralan breakfasts, which were the most delicious I’ve had and cooked with care! A truly wonderful stay.

WOW! Our hosts were amazing. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and so, so welcoming. We had a different local breakfast every day and the option of an evening meal too.

Just an amazing homestay. We only stayed for 2 nights but should've been more as our 1 breakfast that we enjoyed was so we'll taken care of! We didn't get to enjoy dinner with them (met other people who we went for dinner) but from other guests it was as delicious and all homemade!
They are a super friendly family as well.

Everything was perfect. Location was very close to the center , as well as to the entrance of Periyar N.P. The room was spacious and very clean with all the necessary amenities and a big balcony .The whole place was beautiful with lots of plants and very well maintained
But above all was the kindness of the owners who gave us all the necessary advice to make our stay to Thekkady unforgettable
Breakfast was very nice and they also cooked for us a delicious dinner .
