Very Good
The house is away from the center of the city in a quiet residential area., but getting there is a van was a bit difficult.
The room sizes are good and bathrooms were clean and functional. Comfortable large beds. Would definitely recommend using the hammocks on the top floor, I fell asleep within minutes of lying down- blissful with the breeze.
The host family is fantastic. Shakoor, his wife and daughter were very helpful and were warm to talk to.
The breakfast and teas they offered very delicious and good value for money.
Location is a bit hard to get to through little streets in a van. No proper parking facility for the vehicle.

Shukkoor was very helpful with everything, including helping me book local hikes. It was good to have someone who knew the area well. I suggest the super deluxe room with the amazing view!

I loved everything about this stay. The scenery was amazing, the bed was super comfortable, the shower had the best pressure and the people made it unforgettable. So kind, he even drove me places he didn't have to. Would definitely stay again. Was close walking distance to bus station and good reccommendation for a delicious dinner.
Do not leave the bathroom window open unless you want I visit from the cheeky monkeys.

Good and quite area, 15 min walk to bus station as well to Thekkady entrance. Free terrace under roof. Hot whater for whole day, clean and enougth big room.
No early breakfast.

Amazing location and view from the balconies - Abdul was extremely helpful in organising trips out and providing lovely breakfasts. We'd really recommend Panthalams Homestay to foreign visitors to Thekkady.

The room and bathroom were clean. We paid extra so that we could have a room which has a lovely view from the balcony. Deer came to the area in the evening which was sweet. The host gave us a lift to the bus terminal and arranged tickets to the park.

The view from the homestay is great. Black monkeys, deer, mongoose could all be seen from the balcony. The room was large and very clean and breakfast was very good. The most important aspect was the assistance provided by my host who helped me with ideas, transport and booking boats and shows. This made my stay so much easier.

Quiet location, away from the busy center. Just a 5-7min walk from bus terminal and tourist office. Large and very clean room with hot(!) shower. Rooftop with hammocks. Owner is very helpful, even dropped me off at tourist info and helped me to safe som bucks on hiking trip.

Mr Shukkoor made our stay very seamless and comfortable. Even with peak season , he was able to get us tickets for national park as well as for the cultural shows . He guided us on recommendations and served us amazing traditional Kerala breakfast.

Everything! The room was clean and comfortable, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the views from the room and the rooftop were amazing!
Definitely a great place to stay if you want to explore the area or just rest up!

Shukkoor was an excellent trustworthy host who helped us organize our activities. He was allways available to help us. The room was beautiful and hot shower was nice. Walking distance to town and Periyar National Park.

This home stay exceeded my expectations. I was a bit skeptical as it was our first time in thekkady, but we were welcomed with open arms. The hosts were genuinely so lovely and kind. The breakfast they provided was delicious, especially the authentic South Indian dishes. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I'd definitely recommend!

Good sized room, spacious and had a private little space to enjoy the views. Bed huge and very comfortable. It was a fan only room, which was fine and didn't feel a need for AC (even though it was hot outside) it seemed to cool down a little at night so fine for sleeping. Breakfast simple (omelette & bread - especially loved the Masala Tea) and the owner was very kind to bring us a cup early, which I was very grateful for and it was a lovely surprise so thank you! Walking distance to the main town and restaurants (if you are okay with walking up a few little hills!)
Nothing really - just be mindful if you want AC our room didn't have it. Not sure about other rooms so best to ask in advance.

I was stayed here for 2 nights along with my family. The owner Mr. Shukoor was an excellent helpful man, very prompt and informative. He booked tickets for Kalari and Kathakali, Green walk etc. to help us to enjoy flawless shows. When we required a driver to Vahamon (we planned to visit some remote locations on enroute), he tried to get a driver, but failed. without any hesitations he himself came along with us as driver cum guide. That trip also unforgettable. Thanks Mr. Sukoor, you are a good and kind hearted man, I will definitely come again to stay there to enjoy the left out activities and places.

Wonderful
Shukkoor and his family are lovely - they were so kind to us and went above and beyond when my partner was ill. They also arranged transport from Cochi, and helped me get to my safari meeting point. The location is stunning (beautiful sunsets over the mountains), it’s very quiet at night, and the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. We are sad to leave and we highly recommend staying here. Thanks again to a very nice, kind and generous family for having us to stay.
