Such a lovely home stay in the ideal location especially if you are looking to do Periyer Trips. The accomodation is a perfect mix between modern and historical, everything was clean and fresh when we arrived. The owner is super friendly and helpful, he helped us book tickets for tiger reserve and to see a show in town. There are lots of restaraunts and shops in the area plus it’s down the road from the bus station which is helpful.

We had a good time at Kairali Palace. Great hosts who supported with everything. Perfect location to start the border hike and other tours. Just 10 minutes away by foot from the starting point.
A mosquito net in the rooms would be helpful to get some fresh air in at night.

Such a fantastic and affordable place to stay! The family that host this are very kind and knowledgeable and helped us to book the border trekking safari in periyar national park. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the communal balcony hang out space is very peaceful and leafy. It’s within good walking distance of town and also the national park but is located in a quiet area. Would highly recommend!

We liked everything about Kairali Palace homestay. The host , Mr. Niteesh was very helpful. He even provided tea twice on request and did not charge for it. Also helped us with information on the places to visit nearby. It was value for money totally.

Property is located in the center of Thekkady..Main market of the town is around 400 meters only. Property is neat and clean, rooms are spacious. Most important thing is owner of the property is very humble and friendly nature and treat the guests just like family member.
