Location fantastic, though the colony is tried to be kept authentic but the upkeep of the building needs mantainance. Like the heater in the bathroom , the walls moldy, spider webs and insufficient lighting. The staffs were helpful when needed.
Breakfast poor range, staff was late. Unfortunately we experienced power disruption and had a bad night. Suggest to have a generator set on standby

It was architecturally a beautiful building in the heart of White town. Geraldine, the owner, was lovely, approachable and her taste in vintage Indian style and interiors was just stunning. With a beautiful court yard garden full of lush foliage and flowers.. shade to sit in, fabulous staff, and great food, I loved it all!! Literally minutes from the sea. Incredible French & Indian fusion!!!!

We had such a lovely stay at Villa Helena. The rooms in the back are simple but very beautiful. The staff is friendly and always smiling, the restaurant is delicious and I would highly suggest booking a massage.

Inside the property is a peaceful haven of greenery away from the bustling streets outside. The room had nice decor, big bathroom, good AC, comfy bed. The owner was very helpful in answering any questions. The restaurant area was nice with good food for breakfast and dinner. The location is central. Would stay again.

Beautifully appointed, centrally located well air conditioned rooms. Really comfortable bed. I rested very well.
The WiFi only works outside of the rooms in the communal areas. These areas are well maintained but only have ceiling fans. It gets really uncomfortable to sit outside and use the WiFi. There was also no hot water for the three nights I was there. Even though the small boiler in the bathroom was turned on as instructed. Breakfast is basic, very basic.

Loved the location right in the middle of White Town. Loved the colonial style building and charming courtyard where we had dinner and breakfast. The room wasn't at all modern but that only added to its charm! Friendly staff.

The breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful. The terrace outside my room was brilliant for relaxing and reading a book. Fantastic location in the centre of the French quarter.
It would have been good to have a water cooker with tea and coffee in the room
