An old charm of Ooty was ruined by the management, There is no attempt to maintain the property. Algae reddened balcony, which used to be the center of attraction now a mere sour to the eyes. Rooms were average. Not worth being called a 3/4 star hotel anymore. The staff is very well mannered and provides utmost care the the best of their ability. Once a busy sought-after property, now just a sour sight. Sad to see a legacy coming to an end.

Wonderful
Beautiful place to stay, very good ambiance, the lawn and common areas are well maintained. Kids will love playing there. Beautiful view of the city from the Hotel. Food is really good. Rooms are very clean and neat. Staffs are very helpful and friendly.
1. The room i stayed, the bathroom was bit congested, space was bit less there but it was clean and well maintained. 2. If you look through the room window(you cant open it), the walls of the property, etc you see is very dirty, it never cleaned for years. You wont feel to open the curtains.

The view
The room wasn't cleaned, bed wasn't made when we checked in. Room size was very small. The food wasn't good and took 2 hours to arrive. Under staffed and inefficient. The receptionists were the only efficient people in the entire property.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, they even reached out to us about milk for our little one, when we hadn't asked, they were very observing and considering.
The approach road via gps is etched off, suggest you ask for directions, dont trust gps.

Food was very good and the staff was wonderful . They dont have a mini fridge but are helpful in cooling your drinks .
The rooms have very thin doors and anyone speaking in the corridor disturbs you.
