The rooms are not sound proofed. The traffic honking is very loudly audible and even the next room movements are audible. The pictures of room is misrepresenting as well. Eg. No bath tub in the premium room, whereas it is shown in picture. Wi Fi is very slow and they will just keep giving excuses.

Its on very prime location. Easily approachable by road and other convenience. Near metro for comfort to reach easily at hotel.

Clarks Awadh has a new look; it is more spacious and inviting. As always its location in the heart of Lucknow is a winner. I like its old world charm with modern amenities. I would anyday prefer it to newer characterless hotels.
I found the in-dining menu quite expensive. They should have more reasonably priced dishes and more options. For a short while there was sound of construction work and that was not pleasant. It was of short duration though.

Beautiful foyer. Security staff at doorstep always greeting you with smile and respect. Great view from the room. Breakfast buffet was a good spread. And the breakfast staff was very attentive of each guest and came to regularly check with the patrons if they needed anything else. Very efficient process.
Check in area needs to be redesigned. There should be a waiting area with lounges for guests while they wait for the check-in (reception) staff to be free because it feels very chaotic. This process is definitely not reflective of a 5-star hotel. I also found reception staff to be incredibly slow. The only luggage we had were two backpacks. And we insisted on taking them with us to our rooms ourselves multiple times but the reception staff didnt let us take it and assured us that they would bring it to us themselves. But they were running on an entirely different time. I believe we had to call them 3 times before they finally got our backpacks to us. That same night, while we were asleep, the reception staff calls us to say that they had lost our passport details. My husband and I both saw they had scanned all our details at the time of check-in but still lost it and called us in the middle of the night to tell us to bring it back. The next day, after breakfast, we took our details to them again and were told by another reception staff that it wasnt needed but at the time of checking out the next day, we were then told that they still needed it. That is thoroughly unprofessional and speaks of incoordination between different teams. I also did not appreciate how one of the staff in a sweetly forceful way tried to extort a good TripAdvisor review while we were clearly busy checking out. We kept saying we will do it later but the staff just came right next to me and sweetly forced me to do and even dictated what to put in the review. Thats cheating the whole system of review and felt forceful and I did not appreciate it one bit no matter how nice and overly sweet they were about it. I deleted the review immediately. Also, the only impressive part of the hotel are the common areas. The rooms are comfortable but the vibe feels olden like they belong to a different hotel in comparison to the rest of the hotel.
