Nature oriented retreat with many activities for the family, calm and a needed relaxing get away.
Activites such as karaoke, cycling, canoeing, carroms, fishing, swimming etc are all available.
Very loving family running the place with all support
Blankets could have been provided rather than sheets, more breakfast options could have been provided.

Family are so lovely. Ajith (son) was so helpful making suggestions, checking in, helping to arrange all the various things I wanted to do. Such thoughtful people, caring. Dad was lovely and mama is adorable making lovely meals and I wanted to go to town and she offered to take me with her. Really peaceful place. You will pinch yourself that your living right on the backwaters of Gods Country - kerala. The locals are very sweet. Bare in mind access to any western food is limited, howver enjoy the kerala cuisine for your time. Kottoyam is a short trip. Do yourself a favour and visit KutticKattil homestay or private houses on same property.

Being able to use bikes was really good too.

Had a wonderful time. Ery quiet location with a beautiful garden, surrounded by nature. Still pretty straightforward to get to even without your own vehicle (train or bus to Kottayam and from there 15 min. Tuktuk ride). Lots of things to do, too. The homestay has bicycles, kayaks and a motorboat to do tours in the beautiful surroundings. I did all of it. The prices for Kayak rental and the motorboat tour were very reasonable. The son of the owners managed my stay and was incredibly hospitable and helped me with everything. 100 % recommended.

The location is very serene and beautiful. The home stay owners are very polite, co-operative and pleasant to deal with. When the approach road was under repair, the staff rang us up and guided through another route. That was very nice of them.
The room is very basic. We went during the rainy season and didn't have hot water from solar tank. We had to heat up water in a stove and take bath. They could have easily fitted geysers in the bathrooms.
