I had a wonderful experience at Shaw Guest House. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant stay — I would definitely recommend Shaw Guest House to anyone looking for quality accommodation and great service!

Location was good en close to Mother house.
Friendly staff.
Cleaning of the room was often (if you like) and good.
Not anybody of the staff speaks English. This is sometimes difficult.
On the website looks the guesthouse much better then in reality.

Staying at Kolkata is always a great pleasure for me as I really love the City of Joy.
This time, I've selected the Shaw Guest House for its proximity of the Old Calcutta area and it's very close location of Mother Theresa House.
The room I got was very pleasant, spacious and clean. With a private simple bathroom and his water heater.
Jud, Rakesh and all the staff were particularly kind and helpfully for any requests.
A perfect and quite place to stay in Kolkata.
