LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
Excellent host - very helpful and accommodating!
We wish her the very best.
Towels & sheet covers looked jaded/dirty.
During our five night stay, the floors were not swept or mopped even once.
Overall hygiene could be improved.
Body wash soap not provided. Not everyone carries it, like we did.

Owner family was so kind and helpful. It was also nice to experience an old apartment building with old style lift :) The apartment building was not facing main roads so it was quiet even though location was convenient.
Bathroom of our room needed maintenance a bit.

This is a perfect location for Kolkata. Loads of good restaurants nearby, and the subway is only a 15 min walk. You can also walk to the Indian museum in the same time. Quite easy to get anywhere else such as 5 points with the subway. Our hostess was lovely, we had nice chats over breakfast each morning, including suggestions on activities. The breakfast each day was very tasty, yes you want the marmalade! The room is exactly as listed, private and cool with both a ceiling fan and AC. The window does open for fresh air, but we kept it closed to keep the flies out. There is a switch by the kitchen to turn on the water pressure, give it a couple minutes and then you are good for your shower. We had plenty of space for late afternoon cool offs. This was a wonderful way to experience Kolkata in real life rather than a distilled hotel. As note, the elevator only goes to the 5th floor so you will need to carry bags up to the next floor. Stairs are wide and not overly steep, so wasn't an issue, but I am sure the houseman could assist if needed. When you come off the elevator turn to the right hand stairs as the 6th floor is split. Overall a nice home stay, we enjoyed our visit.

A dream team of 2 hosts is guaranteeing a perfect stay in the heart of Kolkata.
Advice on how to spend the day, individual breakfast, laundry service - everything is taken care of.
As you are sharing the apartment with the owner, you can be absolutely sure everything is very clean and in order.
The building and the apartment are already a few years old but very well maintained.

Great location, spacious and clean with homely atmosphere. Breakfast was generous and tasty and the morning cup of tea delivered to our room at 7am a bonus. Host Sajni was welcoming and friendly, assisting with technology and transport and recommending the best tourist sights. We especially enjoyed engaging with her and our chats over breakfast. Her staff assistant too was courteous and helpful, organising our laundry. We appreciated the comfortable ambience of this B & B.
There was virtually no fault to be found with this property, a minor plumbing problem the only issue, which was promptly resolved.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment is well maintained, clean and well appointed. The bedroom allotted to us was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The linen was good as well. The AC worked and we were able to sleep peacefully. The caretaker Baleshwar was very welcoming, helpful and prepared yummy & sumptuous breakfast on both days. As the apartment is located close to Park Street, there are plenty of options for lunch and dinner including good restaurants as well as street food stalls.
As our return flight was late in the evening, we were allowed to move to a different room at checkout time, which was a great gesture on the part of the owner and the caretaker.
The bathroom drain as well as the wash basin were getting clogged each time we used them. Upon informing Baleshwar, he did try to unclog both to the best of his ability..

Lovely flat, very beautiful decor, very clean and very comfortable. We slept well.
Host and help were great. The host also gave some good suggestions for places to eat and visit. The host is not always home, but her help was great.
Breakfast was good. We had fruit, eggs, and toast every day.
Location was excellent, near to restaurants, new market and the metro but it was also quiet.
Very safe location as is the accommodation.
Room cleaned every day.
Photos on website are accurate.
We loved it here and would definitely recommend and stay again.
There were some issues with the shower, which are due to be fixed. Don't let this put you off, though, as you can easily wash from the tap.

Gracious host and caretaker was outstanding. Went all out to make the stay memorable. Excellent location - was able to walk to most places.
Toilet facilities are not the same as a hotel, but did manage to get past that.

Lovely breakfast cooked by Balisr & a little fridge in my room, which was really useful.
Sajni and Balisr were always on hand to help me, whether that was booking train tickets (thank you, Sajni) or walking me to my very early morning tour (thank you, Balisr).
But their help, advice & interest were continuous and helped me feel safe and well supported throughout my stay. Between them, they had every covered ?
As it is Sajnis' home, i totally understand why she doesn't give house keys out, but it would be useful to have a set kept safely in a lock box just outside the apartment for those times when no one is home ?

The Care taker , Baleshwar was a lovely peron and easy to get along with . He was extremely helpful and very respectful.
Was unable to access the Disney Hotstar App on TV to watch the cricket. Room should have an electric kettle for tea/coffee early morning. Our bedroom had the washing machine and the large window. This was accessed frequently by the care taker who had to access our room to do this. This was inconvenient.

The property is located right at the heart of Park Street.. accessibility is the best. The caretaker Balesar was very co-operative and took good care of us.
The room specifically the bathroom could be cleaner. The room rate appeared to be on a higher side as cleanliness was upto the mark.

With an aesthetically pleasing art decor, the house that has 3 rooms, one is occupied by the owner, the other 2 are open to B&B. A good warm atmosphere as the owner Sajni and caretaker Baleshwar take care of the guests very well. All our needs were met. Sajni guided us on where to visit and how to reach.
You can tell your preference for the breakfast in the evening and Baleshwar cooks well.
Location of the apartment is just perfect ?
The rooms are not soundproof. You hear sound from outside in the room and vice versa, but guess that's how the construction of the building is, and not much can be done.
And again, yet another wish that cannot be taken care of, I wished there was a balcony to relax and enjoy the outside vibe of Park street..
