The owner and staff were very helpful in terms of anything we needed (extra pillows, hot water, etc). The communal area is good for sitting together and you can bring food in from outside to eat there. The area is getting a new metro line but in the meantime buses are available to get into the city centre.
Everything is currently rather old, tatty and unclean. The owners need to invest in a deep clean of the hotel, new sheets and towels, and to take care of things like consistent provision of hot water for showers.

The bathroom was not clean properly, The food quality was very poor there were no proper chairs or aroma in the room.

My stay at Diamond guesthouse was very beautiful. The hosts are very attentive to help with activities and informations and always happy to fullfill every wish concerning the tasty local food and explanations. I had a very relaxed and safe stay, while i was feeling like being part of the family and at home. Also the room is newly modern renovated, kept very clean and has always a lot of hot water.Thank you so much for my beautiful stay in Kolkata ??????
