Everything else except confusing hotline phone numbers and email. Poor response to phone calls before travel. I wasn't really sure if my booking confirmed by the hotel desk.

Room wasn’t available when tried to check in at 3:30, was told to wait for 30 minutes. When tried to check out if the room lock won’t open and the staff wasn’t helpful waited for a while until someone came to help and took few hours to unlock the door while my wallet and phone were inside. It was very inconvenient for us as we had a flight to catch in the evening. Really frustrating

The breakfast was absolutely incredible! There were SO many choices it isn't even possible to taste everything. And everything was so good! The restaurants were also both excellent and the food not too spicy.
The hotel was beautiful and upscale. The rooms were not huge, but very nice.
The hotel is located right next to a lake, which stank really bad. Even with air filtering, it smelled a little bit within the lobby. It's fine in the restaurants and rooms though, so it's manageable, but still.

Breakfast was good, staff were excellent and the location was ok
Every table had a place card that read occupied (red) or vacant (green). The staff lead us to a table and place the red side up denoting the table is reserved but this was often a problem because no one could really see the small place card. we leave the table to serve ourselves and order breakfast items but when we return someone else has taken the table. This causes confusion as the orders get mixed up etc. It happened to us and to other customers. I have seen some very gentle customers whose table was taken over by arrogant people. It maybe a good idea to use place cards that have big bold letters that stand out.

I had a lot of expectations from Marriot but it failed to deliver.
It felt very shady to answer in one line. The rooms and the approach to it was poorly lit, the view was horrible from the room. why would one want to book a room in Marriot to feel like they have just checked into a lodge!

Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed from our stay at Marriott Hotel.
Overall service was good, security staff friendly and the Gym was nice. However, there were major issues that made our stay uncomfortable.
The hotel is located right next to the lake, which looks idyllic on the map. In reality, the lake gives off a strong, foul smell that spreads into the entrance hall, the hallways, and even into the room through the airing system. At times we sometimes had to cover our noses just to get from our room to the elevator.
We booked this hotel mainly because of its pool, but it was basically unusable. First, because of the unbearable smell. Second, because you have to walk straight through a busy restaurant to reach it. Third, because restaurant guests gather around the pool to smoke. The pool area was also dirty, with pigeon excrement everywhere. And if you still decide to go for a swim, there is no changing room or hot shower nearby, so you walk back through an ice-cold restaurant in a wet swimsuit.
The allergen issue was by far the most serious problem. I have celiac disease, so I depend on accurate information. Even when I asked the cooks directly, I was told that some dishes marked as gluten-free actually contained gluten. I pointed out the incorrect labelling, but nothing was corrected in the following days and most staff did not treat it as a serious matter. This made me feel unsafe, as I could never be sure what I could eat without threatening my health.
Other points we did not expect from a 5-star hotel:
Old, worn-down rooms with cracks in the floor, a very small layout, and uncomfortable beds for two people. Even the hairdryer looked unsafe to use.
Having to ask for three towels every single day for a week, despite being three people in the room. No one bothered to add a third glass or cup either.
Inconsistent restaurant service: either being asked the same questions by several staff members in a row, or having to chase after people just to get cutlery while our food was getting cold.
Very high prices for small portions.
A stressful checkout. Their system was down, so instead of charging the correct amount they kept blocking different sums on the card.
