This was my second visit to Prakiti Allay. It's a true slice of heaven in India. I enjoy walking through the surrounding forest, dipping into the rushing river and exploring the village fields. All are accessible right from the property. The front desk is always ready to assist with booking taxis, bringing water and good food. A fabulous eco retreat!

The food was good. The staff were very courteous, obliging and proactive
The rooms were not maintained. Poor bed linen - bubbled and rough sheets and blanket. Cobwebs, cockroaches and dust everywhere. Dirty towels. Stale water.

This was my second trip to Prakiti Allay. It is such a blissful, eco-boutique lodge with wonderful access to a quiet pine forest, small village fields, and a soothing crystal clear river.

Location is like a dream come true, very friendly and communicative staff. Unique and aesthetically done rooms & property. Stream running through is a big bonus.
Food options were average and inconsistent. Dishes seem to be prepared by different chefs each time.

Excellent location and a great hideaway for city dwellers. The place is aesthetically done so that it looks like an eco-village rather than a hotel which is its USP. It is close enough yet not too close to Dharamshala which is helpful to those who are looking to relax. There is an option to sit by the river or walk in the woods which is added benefit.
Food could have been better, dinner and breakfast buffer were not disappointing but did not meet the expectations we had.

Pretty much everything was fantastic and as promised. The sound of the stream across the property is a delight and the fact that the buildings are nicely spaced out without overcrowding the area adds to the laid-back feel of the place.
Wifi can be patchy at times, could benefit from a proper mesh setup, but not too bad considering it's literally in a valley in a forest.

Prakrati Aalay is an amazing eco-resort with a river flowing by its side. The location of the resort is beautiful with picturesque views and lush green forest surrounding it. The sound of the flowing river is therapeutic in itself. The staff was very helpful and courteous and accommodated even few special requests we had in terms of room decoration and arranging a candle light dinner. Kishore Thakur ji was a very gracious host & ensured that every guest was made to feel special.

The best part was that it is located near a small river flow where you can sit and relax. Staff was friendly and helpful too
The experience was not very pleasant since the start. We arrived early and requested an hr early check-in to which they refused by saying that all rooms are booked and they are waiting for someone to checkout which was a complete lie as in the end they have given us a room which was already empty. They should understand that the guests are mostly coming after a long journey and if they rooms are available they should allow an early check-in. And it wasn't like a 6hr early check-in, it was just an hr. Highly dissapointed. Also, in the end we had lost our phone charger from the room. Staff was good and we are not trying to accuse anyone but it was lost.

A very different experience than usual resorts. The one with the experience of 3 natures - Forest to trek, river to enjoy and a great view of mountains. You really feel you are living amidst the nature with all city facilities - great combo. If you are looking for a different experience, do go here - if you are looking for lavish buffets, watching TV, or something walkable from a market, then that's not what this place offers
