The Breakfast was excellent with great lay out , good taste and lots of variety. Special Mention to The General Manager, Mr. Rajiv Khanna, who was always present overseeing all the guests were very well taken care of.

The few staff, member especially the duty manager Anjali if I am getting her name right. She genuinely was concerned on how the VIP movement is causing concern to my plans and stay
Disappointing and Chaotic. Not the Taj Standard.
Review: I book Taj because the brand usually guarantees excellence. Unfortunately, this stay was abysmal. The finishing and utilities were merely average, but the service completely failed to meet 5-star standards.
1. Zero Communication regarding VVIP Visit The President of India was staying at the property. I fully understand the security pressures this entails; what I do not accept is the total lack of communication. There was no warning about car scrutiny or restricted timings. Staff simply used "it’s last minute" as an excuse rather than helping guests navigate the situation.
2. Staff Incompetence & Confusion The internal coordination was shocking. I wasted an hour on Day 1 because the staff didn't know their own protocols. The Front Desk insisted Gate 2 was open; Security insisted it was Gate 1. I was left standing there—feeling foolish—watching two Taj employees argue with each other.
3. Basic Amenities Failed
Business Centre: It was closed, and absolutely no alternative was offered.
Privacy: The DND (Do Not Disturb) button was ignored twice. Staff rang my doorbell while I was on critical work calls.
Finishing: The products, the feel of the room was more a 3 star than the Taj excellence
I expect much more from this brand. This was not a top class experience the brand represents, it was highly dissapointing

The complete stay at the Taj Hotel was very pleasant, but the staff made it exceptionally great! Every morning we were greeted with a Namaste and such friendliness as if we were with family but still carried themselves with extreme professionalism. Some of the staff that really stood out to us because they went out of their way to take care of anything we needed were Mr. Jaykishan, Mr. Bajwa, Mr. Aman, Mr. Govind, Ms. Harpreet and chefs Ajay and Baljinder. They deserve a mention because they made our visit such a memorable one. Thank you!!!

Taj hospitality - staff was pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast.
While the rooms are large and clean but it gives the feel of a very old hotel. Tap fittings are worn out, bedside plug points are broken.
And the room setup is very strange for what isn't really a business hotel - all the space other than the bed is taken by a study desk bang in the middle of the room- with a very uncomfortable chair. So sitting in the bed is the only option!
Location is quite a distance from the Golden temple - may be good or bad depending on one's preference.

The first room was opposite the elevators so we changed and the next room was much better on the eighth floor overlooking Amritsar.
The Chinese as well as the Hotel restaurant were both pretty terrible in terms of the food and decor. The service was friendly though.

Exceptional
It was an amazing experience to stay at the Taj, it was hygienic and very clean. The staff were fantastic and always willing to help with any issues. There was a variety of different kinds of food to enjoy throughout the day.
Would definitely consider coming back and also recommending it to everyone.
How hard it was to schedule in a massage to suit our needs.
