Location was perfect, especially to go to the main points of interest like the Golden temple... the hotel is located just around the Heritage walk, so its a nice traffic free walk around.
Small reception areas/ lounge is just enough to seat a guest or two, but the staff was very helpful with giving us a room quickly. Rooms feel small, but are comfortable, they didn't have in room slippers...

Old property that hasn't been kept well. Floor was peeling off. Water stains. Seepage. Very small room for 15k per night. The location was great! Walking distance to everything we wanted to be near. Not value for money though. Excellent staff. Especially Sukhwinder. Very very helpful people.

It was very near to Golden Temple.
Breakfast is just nice.
The extra facilities.
The room now looks old and had a very strong oder of not being cleaned frequently. The toilet basket had like a blood stain which was not cleaned or replaced.
Toilet gets wet easily during shower and no ventilation to dry it. Breakfast variety can be improved.

Review of Fortune Inn Heritage Walk Amritsar
My family and I recently stayed at the Fortune Inn Heritage Walk Amritsar on the 25th and 26th of April 2025. Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was its proximity to the Golden Temple, and in that regard, it certainly delivered.
The Hotel's location is undoubtedly a major highlight. Being situated very close to the Golden Temple and surrounded by a plethora of utility shops and enticing roadside local food stalls made our stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable.
We truly appreciated the ease of access to the spiritual Heart of Amritsar and the Vibrant local atmosphere.
The initial impressions upon arrival were Positive. The front desk and front office areas were well-maintained and projected a good standard.
Check-in was smooth and efficient.
However, the accommodation itself presented a minor drawback. While the rooms were clean and adequately furnished, they proved to be quite small for a family of three.
This lack of space made it a bit challenging to comfortably settle in with our luggage and move around freely.
The Hotel boasts a spacious restaurant, which was a welcome sight. However, we found the prices of the items on the menu to be on the slightly higher side compared to other establishments in the vicinity. While the ambiance was pleasant, the cost factor might be something to consider for budget-conscious travelers.
Our Experience with room service was Average. While the requests were eventually fulfilled, the service lacked a certain promptness and attentiveness that could have enhanced our Stay.
Despite the smaller room size and slightly higher restaurant prices, the undeniable advantage of the hotel's location and the overall positive experience with the front-of-house staff contributed to an enjoyable stay in Amritsar.
The ease of exploring the Golden Temple and indulging in the local culinary scene right outside our doorstep was a significant plus.
Overall, I would recommend the Fortune Inn Heritage Walk Amritsar, particularly for travelers prioritizing proximity to the Golden Temple and the local buzz.
However, families of three or more might want to inquire specifically about larger room options, and guests should be aware that the restaurant prices are a bit elevated.

The location was great… just a short walk to the Golden temple, Jallianwala Bagh snd Partition Museum. The staff was most hospitable. We had a family suite and it was very comfortable with 2 rooms opening into each other and 2 bathrooms ( 1 full bathroom and - with a WC)… room was very convenient…had a kettle and a safe. The breakfast buffet had many options … South Indian, North Indian and western. We really enjoyed our one night stay.
A little hard to find for the taxi driver… even with navigation.
