Ahmedabad was supposed to just be a stop over, but thanks to Dohia Haveli and Mr. Narayan it became a wonderful destination. The location is perfect to explore the old city, the building is beautiful. Mr Narayan makes THE best Chai Masala and served us an amazing dinner. If you like good Indian food, make sure to eat here. In the morning, he even took us for a tour through the old city and showed us the beautiful temples and 600 year old houses the city has to offer. The room was spacious and clean, we got our first good night of sleep here in India. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Just beware the location on Google maps is incorrect. The location on uber and Maps.me is correct.

The best thing about this property is the caretaker Narayanji. Extremely helpful, smiling and knows his job well. The 2nd thing is the house itself which has its own history, is beautifully done up and its in the Center of old Ahmedabad heritage site. For people who want to experience the old city culture this is nice.
Both rooms are on 1st and 2nd floors and the steep wooden staircase can be extremely challenging. Also the vehicles dont go up to the house which has its advantages and disadvantages. Though the caretaker comes to the main road for the luggage.

old heritage property feel the caretaker Narayan bhai and his wife are very caring and make you feel at home
Steps to the room are too steep and not ideal for aged people and with issues in their legs no TV in room The price is a bit steep for the location and amenities no auto/taxi willing to come upto property, they drop off on main road and its a walk through a crowded market street post 7 pm

Beautiful Haveli in the heart of old Ahmedabad. The manager Narayan is very helpful and kind and knowledgeable and showed me around town. Breakfast is lovely too and dinner can be made upon request. Would stay again.

less atmospheric than other Haveli I stayed at in Ahmedabad; food did not look homecomings at all, standard buffet fare; staff seemed unprepared for my arrival in spite of clear upfront communications. the area was deserted around 8-9pm when I arrived.

authentic Haveli, one of just a few, in the old city. quite unique.
owners need to say on website that stairs up to top suite are very steep. more attention to detail i.e missing set of towels, loo paper almost finished, bathroom needed to be cleaner, not much hot water after turning on switch needed to heat it up. noisy dogs in neighbourhood barking at night. access difficult although owner helped.

Room spacious and functional. High but soft bed. Good breakfast. The manager Narayan is very nice and helpful, shows you around the old city for free and makes a big difference in making the stay easier and for your driver to find you.
Impossible to find with no signs. Tucked deep in a tiny alley where even a tuk tuk cant reach. Google maps location not accurate. Steep and claustrophobic stairs up to room not suitable for old people and big luggage. Dogs barking and planes flying over make for lots of noise during the night. Room is not made during your stay. No tv in room. Hot water in shower finished very quickly. All in all room is way too expensive by Indian standards. Price should be halved.

The property is a heritage Haveli and has a delightful ambiance. Narayan was very friendly and accommodating and took me on a very interesting walking tour of the city. it was interesting to see all of the beautiful historic buildings and to visit the various temples in the area. The meal is n the evening was delicious and abundant do not skip that if you can help it. the room was clean and comfortable and the linen was clean.

Beautiful historic haveli - Narayan welcomed us at 11pm and made tea and toast for us. He made delicious Indian breakfast and gave us tour of local Jain temples.

Lovely old Haveli. Very pleasant large bedroom. (Heritage suite)
We werent keen on eating our breakfast and evening meal in the bedroom which was the only place on offer. Our last night we ate in the kitchen which was better. We also would have liked the room cleaned each day and bins in the toilet emptied regularly.

Its a Heritage Hotel with very spacious room. Laksman speak a little but he is very helpful. Good breakfast.
Need to walk into the Old Town. But shouln't be a problem if you have internet.
