Location, staff and breakfast were great. It was a good value.
The room was small without much view or window, but i did get the cheapest room for one, so that's ok.

Room was adequate and comfortable as a single traveler, location was fabulous, breakfast was fresh and delicious. Happy hour was a very nice touch and also delicious. The other guests were friendly and comfortable to be around. Very nice vibe in this small hotel.
There was construction going on at the building next door all night long. The noise kept me up all night. I tried to close the windows and turn on the air conditioner to create some background noise (and to cool off the room, which was quite warm), but the only temperature control available was heat. It appears that the A/C had been shut off for the winter.

The staff was great and the location was excellent. I want to specifically mention Koko, who provided wonderful service - always with a smile. Also, the pianist, Juanita, is very talented and has an amazing story to tell. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, and the happy hour was a really nice touch. Highly recommended!
The only thing that could use an upgrade is the hair dryer, as the one in our room was quite old and weak.

Location was amazing . Staff very nice and room was cleaned early every day .
No concierge and so can’t help you with things like ordering a taxi or dinner reservation etc .

Great location. Loved the fact that the bus across the street goes directly to the station where you get the train to the airport. Room very clean. Wonderful shower. Food was delicious. I hadn't had shashuka in years. Loved the soup in the evening. I made good use of the coffee machine available 24/7.
The mattress in room 213, although comfortable, tilted slightly. Had trouble logging onto the TV, but someone came and did a great job fixing it.

I love, love the Maxim, location across from the beach is perfect, the staff is wonderful, especially the manager, the breakfast is great and always look forward to the evening wine and delicious soup. Great meeting place to see old friends and make new ones.

Wonderful
The Maxim is older, you could even say a bit outdated, but that only adds to the charm. Rooms are clean, beds are very good, location is excellent, and staff is friendly and helpful. But what I loved the best, is the Happy Hour with soup, bread and free wine. You get to meet other guests, connect with them, and it's generally just very fitting for this non-standard hotel.
Everything the hotel does not have, is right around the corner. Night stores, food services, the beach... So, nothing I didn't like.

Breakfast was wonderful . Fresh eggs cooked to order , full buffet , with everything you need. The service from all the staff is exceptional . Saeed the hotel manager looks after every guest individually and ensures that all guests are looked after . This is an exceptional hotel in a fantastic location and we would thoroughly recommend it. The rooms are very comfortable with mini fridge and tea/ coffee, powerful shower. The sun roof terrace is simply wonderful , we spent time up there relaxing looking at the gorgeous view .
