Wonderful
We truly enjoyed our stay at A23 Boutique Hotel. First and foremost the staff was very friendly and helpful. Before we even arrived on site, they were easy and quick to communicate and respond. We arrived very early in the morning, outside of normal front desk hours, and they made sure someone was there to greet us. The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the corner or two main streets in the City making it easy to walk to almost anywhere. The bikes the hotel offers are also great! One day we took the bikes and rode along the tayelet to Old Jaffa, it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is really cute and clean, and our room was perfect size for the two of us. We also loved the garden in the back. It was a great place to sit with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
The only reason I am not giving a perfect 10 is because when we booked we thought there was a cafe for breakfast and a bar on site. Unfortunately that was not the case and no one explained to us that the breakfast offering was at a cafe down the street, so we never had the breakfast that so many other reviewers spoke highly about. Because the hotel is in a great location though, there are so many options around and it wasn't a problem. I also wouldn't really call the balcony, a balcony. It's very small.

Exceptional
Very nice hotel, and in every way. But the staff stood out. They were outstanding. Maya, Yeroslav and Lana.
Nothing, really.

Very Poor
The hotel was not accessible by car at all and we had a lot of luggage and 2 kids to unload. When I had called in advance they told us that they had a bell man and easy access, which was a lie. When we arrived the whole street was shut down and the 1 friendly front desk associate offered to help carry a few bags down the block - but we had so many and the kids. They also did not have a cart for the bags which was surprising. I appreciate the friendly front desk associate trying to make it work but the whole experience made us concerned with the hotel at large and lack of support and amenities so we decided it was not a fit for us. The hotel did not give any discount or refund (even partial) and have not been easy to work with. I understand the street closure is not their fault but having a cart/s and notifying guests of the access issues would go a long way instead of lying.

Breakfast was served in a nearby coffee shop, ehich we didn't like. Tbe food was very average, service was not good and it wasn't kosher, which we didn't know. The hotel was a great location, big room, nice staff

Fair
The location was great. Close to the beach and right in downtown. The breakfast was good.
The lobby and hallways reeked of smoke. One bathroom in the room also smelled of cigarettes. Our minifridge didn't work. Towels were tattered. Cabinets were broken. We also received some attitude when getting settled.

The A23 boutique hotel was a unique experience. The room was aesthetically decorated. The bed was comfortable too. The room was quiet. The best part of the stay was the lady at reception advised me about local travel and aswered many of my questions. The breakfast spread was amazing! See the attached photo
Will stay here when I visit Tel Aviv next. 10-15 minutes' gentle walk to the beach and lots of restaurants close by.

Wonderful
Very central to food and shops, etc. The hotel itself is unique— a bit quirky but lovely.
They seemed short staffed and my room was facing loud construction. Then again, all of Tel Aviv is under construction so it felt inevitable.
