Leonardo Plaza Netanya turned out to be a complete nightmare: not a hotel, but a dump worse than a hostel for migrant workers. Full refund demanded!
Arrival and initial shock: Checked in expecting a 4-star hotel, but got mold on shower walls and ceiling, dirt on floors, doors, bathroom fixtures. Zero soundproofing — neighbor sneezed at night, we woke up; flushed toilet — woke up again (3rd floor, windows closed). Street smells seep in, but better than the room’s mold stench.
Dining and breakfast: Cook in grimy clothes touches food then his dirty phone — disgusting. Juice poured from a filthy canister into pitchers. Peeling ceiling shed flakes right onto the table and plates — had to leave immediately, ate breakfast elsewhere. Someone’s soup bowl lay on the floor outside our room for two days.
Housekeeping — total failure: Chased a maid who spoke no languages, begging for cleaning and toilet paper. Internet didn’t work.
Management and payments: Contacted in advance, they confirmed cash payment in writing — arrived, they refused! Charged VAT despite showing passport and tourist visa, claiming “not visible in database.” No mention of kosher-only food or religious focus (synagogue, Shabbat elevator) — felt deceived and alienated. No alternative accommodations in this key location for us.
Outcome: Saved a year for €3500 family vacation, got stress requiring a psychologist visit. Full refund required; remove from Booking.com.

The staff is absolutely amazing! They know every guest and check on him regularly. Also they helped a lot solving some little problems, and were so polite, gentle and nice. Especially Yaron. Also, breakfast was very impressible, even though it was on Shabbat morning when usually breakfast are not the best.
I liked everything, maybe the bathrooms needed a little enhancement because it's a bit old. Calvin say so, everything was very clean.

The early morning staff wasn't able to print an invoice, promised to email it , did not.
We requested a taxi to the airport and she wanted us to carry the luggage into to the streets, very unprofessional for a great place.

Good Location situated in the centre of Netanya, this hotel is ideally located for shops, restaurants and the beach.
Reception will give towels and a voucher for chairs on the beach - if you ask.
Fabrice at reception was excellent & very helpful, as were the housekeeping team.
The swimming pool closes from October to March (this wasn’t mentioned when we booked).
The hotel is looking very tired and in need of renovation. Breakfast is served below ground in a windowless, depressing room with miserable staff.
Yossi at reception, who is certainly not suited to the hospitality business, was one of the rudest men I’ve ever met.

I had two small problems and both were solved within a few minutes of mentioning them to appropriate hotel personnel. Adjacent to pedestrian walk where several restaurants, stores, etc. existed.
Further from beach than I expected. Need to have brochures or writeup for restaurants in area.

The service was excellent.
Because of the war...we weren't really able to sleep for any of our 3 nights. I guess we picked the wrong weekend getaway...our 1st in 26 years.
After 2 hours in a bomb shelter...we discovered that all the dinner food...which we didn't eat yet... was put away. We were not charged because of this..but it left us extremely hungry until Saturday morning.
Fabrice, Doubi, and Sigal were totally accommodating to us

We arrived at the hotel for a weekend, and the staff were amazing, especially Doby and Sigal, the CEO.
The breakfast was diverse and delicious. The hotel is close to the beach. We will come back.
