The hotel is very well located in the city center, close to the light rail station and within walking distance of the Old City and other main attractions. The staff was kind and patient. While cleanliness and maintenance could be improved, the food was decent. Overall, it is a good option for a short stay and offers good value for money.

For the price it provides what I need when I have nowhere to stay, place to sleep, shower and leave some of my stuff so I wouldn't have to take it with me. The staff is trying to help, but sometimes it goes beyond what they can so it's not their fault.
Well, I've paid for 4 nights, but used only one, because of bureaucracy I didn't get anything back even though I've made the checkout during the window as if I was there only for one night. I've paid in advance because I was in the process of looking for an apartment for a long time and finally found one, on the first day that week. Also, somehow the 10-person room is less comfortable than the 12-person room, because it has only one sink as opposed to two. While there was a problem with the buttons in the bathroom that they couldn't fix. There was also lots of noise that night/morning but that's just bad luck.

Wonderful
Most people in the room were pleasant and were engaging in conversations with each other, but after 23 most were preparing to sleep or already in bed.
One of the nights there was someone who was making noise at 3am like he was the only one in the room, he didn't try to be quiet at all.

the entrance down stairs are scary to death. i was traveling with mt 5 years old, no lights at the entrance. the main lobby smells strongly sewage and it feels unclean. took solo room which was tiny, there is noise from the street of people goes by even if you close the windows. on the walls of the bathroom was brown dirt!!! i don't even want to think what was it. breakfast until 9:00. it's clearly ridiculous. simple 3 cheese and some pita bread. they have professional espresso machine, but NO COFFEE TO SERVE. WELL ONLY IF YOU SO BROKE AND REALLY NEED 1 NIGHT IN JERUSALEM. unless very spooky place. mattress v. v. very hardi couldn't feel my body in the morning. internet has lots of interruption!!! even the tv was freez for long!!

I came there 2 days before sukkoth, for the first few day the breakfast was quite spartan but it improved significantly a few days later; during sukkoth they added hot shakshouka to the menu.
There were a few shady characters hanging around, smoking who knows what on the rooftop in the evening. That wasn't really a problem though, I hardly noticed them, they kept to themselves.

The location is prime time. When tourism returns to Israel, it would be a great social hostel, but at the moment, it's a bit quiet, filled mostly with older people. The hostel had all the amenities you could need, and the staff was always kind.
I think our room could have used a bit of a deeper clean, nothing major; however, it was totally suitable to stay in.

Room was fine - but when three basic things fail - that is not good. 1. the roll curtain was broken. 2. the shower tube was broken, leaking so much that not enough water was supplied to the shower head. 3. One of the lights in the bathroom - over the sink - did not work. This is unacceptable and a sign of BAD MAINTENANCE. Breakfast attendant was a bit grumpy.
