Exceptional
I had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Hotel in Jerusalem. Special thanks to Ibrahim and Sufien, who were fantastic managers and took great care of me throughout my visit. They even upgraded my room, which made the experience even better. Their hospitality and attentiveness really stood out, and it made a big difference in how comfortable and welcomed I felt during my trip. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for the outstanding service from the management team!

Pleasant
Great location, nice pool area for young kids, big breakfast with lots of options. The lobby restaurant was mediocre, but easy on the fly. The internet was good enough to use Netflix when needed for the kids.
The hotel is not well maintained, one room had a mold problem. The room we were moved to was not well cleaned beforehand.

We had an overall enjoyable stay at the Leonardo Hotel on St. George Street, and despite a few areas that could use improvement, I would happily return. Starting with the positives: the beds were comfortable, the water pressure was excellent, and the room had decent closet space with a fully operational safe. The in-room refrigerator was a good size, and complimentary bottled water was provided on our arrival day. The multilingual staff were always smartly dressed, friendly, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was a real highlight. The buffet offered an excellent selection, and I particularly appreciated the variety of alternative milk options—something hotels often overlook. Housekeeping deserves special recognition for the excellent service throughout our stay. I also want to specifically mention Front Office Manager Abraham, who provided outstanding service. He called me personally before check-in to welcome us, arranged an upgrade, and made a point of greeting me personally when we arrived. The upgrade gave us a private patio mirapesset and that extra space made a big difference to my family. Those kinds of thoughtful touches make a genuine difference to our guest experience.
.There are, however, a few areas where the hotel could improve. Some parts of the property feel considerably more dated than others, particularly the swimming pool area and children's playroom. The pool feels old and while the water temp is nice there's not adequate seating arrangement and the area could use a dedicated small children's area if the intended demographic is families. This wasn't a deal breaker for us, but some updating would definitely improve the overall impression of the hotel. More importantly, there seems to be a surprising lack of communication among staff about the hotel's own facilities and services. We asked both maintenance staff and the front desk about the children's playroom and were told it was only open on Shabbat. In reality, it was open throughout the week from approximately 9:00–17:45. Unfortunately, we only discovered this ourselves on our final night. Traveling with children, this was particularly frustrating because it was a facility we absolutely would have used. With this said this would also be the first area I'd makeover / deep clean it needs an overhaul if you're going to offer it as an amenity. Similarly, when I asked a fairly basic concierge-type question about laundry options on Wednesday morning, August 19, the staff member assisting me seemed unsure how to handle the request, and I ultimately left the front desk frustrated. The friendliness is certainly there; what seems to be missing is consistent knowledge of the property's facilities and services. *For transparency, this review was not solicited by the hotel.*
