Photos are deceiving. The restaurant was supposed to be open and was not. This is maybe a 2 star. While we liked the owner accommodation was not what we expected.
Restaurant closed, it was a bit cheesy,breakfast said included on booking but was not.

Breakfast was awesome and our host and daughter were very informative and friendly. The town and numerous restaurants and pubs were extremely walkable. Waterville is an exceptionally lovely place to visit as is the Old Cable Historic House.

The room and bathroom were both very spacious, clean and well maintained. The breakfast each morning was incredible, cooked to order by our host Alan - he made the best porridge as well as a great Irish breakfast. We found out too late that he also makes the "best Irish stew", next time we will have to have dinner in the restaurant.
The location is perfect for exploring the town of Waterville which is just down the road (who knew about the Charlie Chaplin connection?!) and taking day trips along the Ring of Kerry. It is a perfect location for one night or a few.

5* accommodation and service. Authentic, luxurious stay in the heart of Waterville/Ring of Kerry route. Rooms are thoughtfully designed, comfy beds and bedding. Amazing hosts and easy check in. The town has more happening than other town on the routes

Room and premises were clean and comfortable. It was just a short walk into town for dinner. Parking was easy. No idea about breakfast as we had to leave early.
The shower flow was lame compared to other places we stayed in Ireland. The seafood restaurant appears to not be a thing any more.

Very quiet location with delightful hosts. Freedom to come and go as we needed. Breakfast was picture perfect and hardy enough to last all day. Loved the historic history of the place and owner.

Proximity to town was great and it was easy to find. Very walkable to the waterfront, bars and restaurants. It worked well as our base while exploring the peninsula. Friendly staff, comfy bed, Delicious breakfast.
The room was a little tight on space. It did the job but I would have been fine with less furniture.

Amazing hosts. Beautiful home with a homely feel. The place is loved and very well maintained. We stayed for one night and wished we had more time to enjoy it longer. After a long day of driving we all had a restful night. The next morning we all had the most delicious breakfast, a MUST, don’t skip the breakfast.
Our shower was small, but it is an old house.

The Old Cable House is just a short walk from the center of town and the beach. It was away from the main hustle and bustle so it was quiet.
The hosts were amazing and everyone got a very warm welcome.
It is a historical building so expect some squeaks and creaks. Our room was quite large and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.
We had a private bathroom, but it was across the hall from our room - just not something I have encountered before.
