Truly, Mags and Bree made our stay!! They were the most incredible front desk staff ever! I will say a couple of the bartenders weren’t as friendly or accommodating but everyone else made up for that
Just the couple of bartenders that seemed annoyed by our presence. We are Americans so kind of expected that treatment in general. Didn’t feel that way from ABY other staff but the bartenders

Our stay was very good. The hotel looks as cool as it is on the photos. Located right next to the ferry, it was easy to get to by car. The view from the hotel is definitely stunning and it's a good place for exploring Valentia island and the Skellig Ring. Breakfast was delicious and staff was mostly welcoming. There's plenty of parking in front of the hotel, but could get cramped if there're lots of visitors to the restaurant. The room we had was small, but great view and had an ok sound insulation. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay.

Gorgeous hotel, stunning location, dining area very good with excellent food. Breakfast was generous and had something for everyone. It was a bit like being in an Agatha Christie novel!
Room was nice but unfortunately, despite the amazing location, the view from my room was of a fence, about 4 feet away only. This considerably affected my enjoyment of my stay. I asked to change rooms but was informed that they were full and couldn't accommodate that.

Really good breakfast with high quality ingredients. Lot of charm and personality to the property. Staff well trained and attentive. Wonderful view from the restaurant window.
While recognising the age of the property, maintenance is needed. Soundproofing in the bedrooms leaves a lot to be desired. Inadequate shelving in the bathroom.

Our stay at the Royal is very positive. We loved the vibes, the room, the comfort, and the delicious meals we were having at this restaurant. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer. We will definitely come back.
The only negative point was the AC in our room. It was working, but it was emitting some weird noises. We had to turn it off. The staff tried unsuccessfully to fix it during our stay.

Coffee limitation at breakfast time was a bit dissapointing as one tiny cup is not enaugh especially if you wanting to try some pastries as well.

The staff were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was good.
The walls were very thin — we could hear everything, including the man next door snoring all night. The room was small, and the bathroom door hit the toilet when opened. Food service for dinner was very slow.

Old hotel with lots of period charm. Rooms are not large in the 2nd floor but are decent enough. Helpful staff carried luggage up the stairs as there is no lift.
