We received a warm welcome each time we entered the building! The manager was most helpful with suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The location was an easy walk into Killarney. All staff made us feel welcome and well cared for.

It’s hard to find fault, it just seems expensive to me to spend so much money in place were you are just sleeping but they are all on the higher end thus part of Ireland in any tourist community. Plus they have to charge enough to get through the winter.

Lovely facility, wonderfully helpful gentleman who checked us in during the day and who is there most days.
The night desk clerk was rude and short with us a few times. We ordered neat whiskey at the bar a few nights and the amount he poured was exactly 1/3 of the thickness of my iPhone - yes, I measured to get the sense of scale! Having traveled throughout Ireland and Scotland more than once, we know that a pour of whiskey is very, very modest. But this was insane: basically a width of a wide Sharpie - you could barely see it! Nonetheless, we loved the facility otherwise.

My teenagers said - they’ve got the rooms figured out because they had a large bed and 2 twin beds for our family of 4. It’s a great location, but the biggest draw was their breakfast. We traveled for 2 weeks, staying at about 7 different hotels and this breakfast was the best we had! The folks running the front and the breakfast were also lovely people.
There wasn’t really a way to regulate our temperature in the room. It got very hot!

Spent 4 nights in August at the Old Weir Lodge. The breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely. Short walk to the center of town. It was a great place in which to fall in love with Killarney. The staff was very nice and helpful. All in all we had a lovely stay and are planning to go back.
The beds could have been a little less firm for our taste. But that’s just a minor thing.

Visited during a heat wave so our top floor room was hot at night with our ac. They provided a fan but tough sleeping.

The room for 3 people was Altus and very comfortable. The lounge and bar areas were Lo fly and the breakfast was very tasty.
It would have been nice to have the outdoor sitting area on the side of the property on the grass away from the driveway and traffic .
