Good
The property is very quaint. The breakfast dining hall and staff are fantastic. They seem to genuinely care about the guests. We appreciated them immensely.
The rooms are a bit tired. Bedding and in room amenities are just average…at best. The lobby, bar area, and front lounge are tired. No working main fireplaces is a missed opportunity. The bar selection is minimal with below average offerings. I really wanted to like The Old Weir lodge, but I’d pass. If you’re looking for a more elevated experience…search elsewhere.

All aspects of the hotel were great. The bar for guests, the small snug and the morning breakfasts were perfect.

Great place with friendly staff! Also, their breakfast included was great and was close enough to walk to the main shopping area/restaurants.

Disappointing
It was clean and comfortable enough.
Out of 8 days in Ireland, this was the only bad service we received.

The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was excellent, the location was perfect for all our activities and the rooms were very comfortable and quiet. And the free on-site parking was a nice bonus.

Great location, wonderful full breakfast included, nice surroundings and bar room.
Furniture and styling a little dated, but it had its charm.

The place was charming and the location was convenient but the staff’s warmth and helpfulness is what made this a wonderful stop

Wonderful
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. While it's not very close to the shops and pubs of the downtown area, it was a walkable distance away, assuming you have agreeable weather conditions. We loved the cozy-but-elegant sitting room with a small bar, which was a perfect spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly, particularly those serving breakfast. That, too, was very good. Highly recommend!

Wonderful
The lodge is perfectly located so that you’re close to everything but not in the middle of the congestion and mayhem. The beds were comfortable and the room and common areas were clean. The breakfast options were nice and breakfast staff very friendly and attentive. Easy access to the Ring of Kerry and Dingle - both drives that you should not miss!
We arrived at 2:40 pm and were promptly told we were 20 minutes early. That was our greeting. We were told we could wait for 20 minutes in the sitting area or drive around and come back. The only place in our 5 weeks of travel that greeted us that way.

Wonderful
Staff were all lovely, breakfast was excellent. Room and bathroom were nicely sized, very clean. The common spaces were a nice plus, including the small bar, and the location was very convenient.
Mostly personal preference, but the beds were VERY firm. We noticed this at all of the hotels we stayed in, so perhaps common practice. Same for duvet/no top sheet…either on or off; got overheated every night

Location is amazing, walkable to the city centre in all its glory. All staff were so kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable for our family with plenty of beds. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Wish there were more fruit choices for breakfast, but I'm really nit picking. This is a wonderful hotel!
