Very Good
Fortunately I researched the parking situation before we arrived and parked at the rear. Some indication of this facility in advance would be helpful to others.
The room No 1, the breakfast and your friendly staff were all great and there was very little noise from the pub below.
Some parking advice in advance could be useful for newcomers.

Breakfast was top notch and the server was outgoing and informative about the area and Irish football!
The first room we tried was on the street and noisy but the manager was very helpful and rearranged the rooms to accommodate us. The room was comfortable despite the heat wave!

the hotel is part of a pub/restaurant which caters to the locals. The hotel has been recently remodeled and updated so it is comfortable and modern. It was convenient to travel to our early morning Skellig Michael trip and the town was fun to explore and experience the hospitality of their community.
Although it didn't have A/C, we understood that Ireland is having unprecedented heat waves-and it always cooled off during the night with the help of a provided fan.
Parking was free and on the street near the hotle and was no problem.

As a family run business, the hotel and local pub downstairs were on point. We arrived during an afternoon rush of locals telling stories over a pint, but the pub manager, Ben, saw us and made every effort to ensure we were welcomed and immediately got our room sorted out.
Rooms are above the old pub but completely renovated with modern comforts like USB charging ports, stong WiFi and TV with all the streaming servied included. The bathroom was lage, sparkling clean and modern.
Stays include an amazing breakfast from any breakfast item from the menu. Speaking of which, the food was fresh, generous and a welcomed surprise after a long day on the road. They clearly take pride in the preparation and presentation of everything on their menu, all of which is reasonably priced.
Our stay coincided with the one week of the year when Ireland was experiencing a heat wave. Unfortunately, like most of the country, air conditioning wasn't available in the room so it was a bit warm. But, the staff provided a fan to help circulate the air in the room.

Disappointing
The room was a nice modern room well furnished and generous in size .
The room was it as way too hot and the and the heavy smell of paint fumes was nauseating. There was absolutely no airflow to bring in fresh air even with the window open.
We attempted to find another place to stay in town but no luck. I think it's a bit of an overstatement to call this a hotel. It's really a small number of rooms over a pub and I think you should tell your customers that. We were really disappointed.
