This is becoming my regular place to stay in Killarney. The staff are always so nice and welcoming! Always creates a warm atmosphere. Rooms are very comfortable. On site free parking.

It was an easy walking distance to many of the restaurants and pubs. The cooked breakfast was really fresh and substantial.
After forgetting my waist pouch at the front desk the previous night - no one in the morning was aware it had been found. Notifying all staff in the morning (or even looking inside to determine which guest it belonged to) would have saved time filing a police report/planning to shorten my trip to drive to the Consulate in Dublin. Thankfully I asked again, later that day & one of the staff managed to locate it.

I booked Castle Lodge last minute and it turned out to be a gem! It was my 11th night in Ireland and it was the most comfortable bed and the best shower I had to date during my trip. I had a rental car and the free and easy parking was a bonus. The included breakfast gave me an opportunity to try a full Irish breakfast! The staff was very kind and helpful. Very close to the center of downtown and about a block from O'Sullivans bike rental where I rented an electric bike to ride the Gap of Dunloe. It was also less that a block from the road I needed to take to ride to Ross Castle. I really couldn't believe what a great find this place was.

I was delighted with my experience at the Castle Lodge, and love that it is a family accommodation. It’s a very relaxed environment, well appointed, and close to the city center. My room overlooked garden and was very comfortable and quiet.

I enjoyed my stay at Castle Lodge. It was close to everything and I was easily able to walk to the city center, and it was also easy to drive into Killarney Park. The traffic can get heavy at certain times in the area, but I was traveling at peak season. There is parking on the premises but it is first come first serve. For some reason a small tour van was in the parking and seemed to cause havoc at time on the parking situation as he would take up several spaces a time, so maybe it wouldn't be bad at any other time. My room was spacious and the bed was ok. The bathroom was a nice size and shower was great. The room could get warm during the day, but as long as you are ok to open the windows at night it cools down.

Disappointing
The room was dirty. The blinds were covered in dust and had cob webs. My boyfriend came to visit me in the evening and upon entering the man at the desk asked if he was staying the night, and then asked if there was enough beds in the room. My boyfriend was then charged a €50 fee to stay the night. This just felt very unexpected and the questions we were being asked felt uncomfortable. Asking if there was a bed for my boyfriend to sleep in felt very uncomfortable.

Staff were fantastic! Really great location close walk to center of town without being too much in the hustle and bustle of things. Lovely breakfast with full Irish breakfast option. Staff were super helpful either local food and attraction recommendations. Would highly recommend.

The location was good. The check in with Amy was great, very welcoming! The room had good beds, clean and had tea/coffee in the room with comfortable chairs to relax in. Nice breakfast too.
The staff in the breakfast room not very friendly and kinda curt… no sense of hospitality… unfortunate
