My friend and I try to meet a few times during the year at differing Hotel Spas . This was our first visit to Killashee - and it was such a positive experience. We will come back to this wonderful hotel. Beautiful historical hotel and excellent customer service demonstrated by all staff.
We booked a Thursday night (26th of October @ 200 for 2 persons) and opted for a special.offer Spa Treatment (Elemis Glow Facial, access to Hydrotherapy and an Elemis gift for 125). Despite several gentle reminders from the hotel - I was a little late in booking my treatment (7 days before our arrival) and had to contact the spa to ask if they could schedule my treatment with my friend (hers was at 4.30pm). I stated that ideally, I would like the special offer , but that I would understand if I had to opt for an alternate treatment given my lateness in booking
The Spa (Karina) replied back so kindly within the same day. Karina said that of course they could offer the Special Offer to both of us once we were both happy to push apmt back a little to 4.45pm, which, of course, we were happy to do so.
Amy, who gave me my facial, was excellent and so friendly and informative. Moreover, I was impressed that the Spa Staff had our "free Elemis gift" ready for us (our names on stickies)as we left the spa. Woman who checked us in once again were very friendly .
We were very happy with the room - it was very spacious with 2 large double beds and a bath.Dyson hairdryer and a Nespresso. Complimentary bottles of water.
You need to pre- book your dinner reservation, and you have a choice between fine dining or bar food o. I booked The Oak and Anvil (Bar Option). We opted for starters - fish cakes & blue cheese salad - and for mains, the pasta dish and chicken supreme along with a few glasses of wine (3), sparkling Water and 1 desert. All of it was excellent and came to a little over 100 which we felt was good value.

Great location, beautiful venue and all the staff were amazing
The hotel was too hot. The heating was on constantly. Also our room had a really bad smell.

Killashee Hotel is extremely well kept, both exterior and interior. The hotel was very clean upon arrival, and we were greeted by Karen, the receptionist, who was very welcoming and friendly. Megan at the front desk was very helpful and very attentive also. We had dinner pre booked at the Oak & Anvil. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Cocktails were very nice and a decent size too and very well priced. We received a warm welcome upon arrival to the bar by a lovely lady who seated us. The room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. The room had a Dyson hairdryer, which I think is worth a mention. We would highly recommend a stay at Killashee Hotel.
There wasn't anything we didn't like. The stay overall was very nice and relaxing.

Location lovely, layout all over the place.
Shower cubicle disgraceful, between tiles the grout looked very dirty, needed a good bleaching.
The bedroom was nice and the bed very comfortable.
It was very stuffy though but weather was very hot.
A fridge in the room would have been nice as the room was very spacious so there was plenty of room there
No one checking buffet at breakfast ,
We stayed two nights and both mornings some of the buffet dishes were empty.
