Very Good
Great pub with lots of local people there. Had music in the evening. And several TVs to watch sports.
We were not actually staying above the pub. We were in another building down the street. We had a small issue when we checked in but they took care of it quickly and upgraded us to a larger room. The location was near the university. It was a several minute walk to the downtown area where all of the places to shop and eat were located.

This was our first stop on our vacation in Ireland. The staff were amazingly accommodating and the room was clean.
The room was a little small, but we knew that when we booked. Even though the room was not very big it was all we needed for our stay.

Amazing breakfast and Alana went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! She was our introduction to Galway and the warmth of the people
Only complaint really was the shower pressure. Impossible to really wash hair as a woman with long thick hair

The bar was good!
When I read about this place it said the bar was connected but my accommodations ended up being a few blocks away which was slightly annoying. Bedroom window barely opened & no fan was provided so sleeping was very uncomfortable. & when I arrived both the front door & my room were ajar so I didn’t realize until 12 am that my key card wasn’t actually working lol not the best feeling being a solo traveler in a new country. I got lucky that there were still a few people outside of the bar that new the managers & called them for me or else I would have been completely alone & probably would have had to call the police.

Convenient to walking to center of Galway, restaurant on site very good, reasonable, and convenient. Breakfast included with stay was very good. Manager was very helpful in getting us situated and allowed some freedom in parking.
Easy to miss the turn into the back parking area.

Free parking available. Room was small, but had everything needed for a one night stay. Close to Galway sites. An excellent cooked to order breakfast was included.

Staff was fantastic and took care of all questions and any issues that arose. Only an 8 minute walk to town. The Sliding Rock Pub was lively with live music in the evenings. Breakfast way yummy. The shower water pressure was excellent.
Our room was pretty small but was brand new!

Very Good
Bedroom and bathroom small but super well equipped and modern/clean. We stayed in the new guesthouse a minute walk from the actual Sliding Rock Inn. Staff were great at at the pub, very friendly.
Absolutely no sound proofing...we could hear the next door peoples conversations and when the people in then next room arrived in at 2am we were awake "with them" for an hour!! Really disappointing as everything else was excellent.

Rooms were small but clean. Breakfast was very good.
Extremely tight quarters. Can also be noisy as there is a bar in first floor.

Very Poor
Left too early for breakfast to be served. Dinner was very good the night b4.
There was NO cold water in shower so we were scalded. Room/bathroom was so small 2 of us could barely move around. They didn’t give us a WiFi password so didn’t have. I made reservations months ahead of time. I think they gave us a reserve room. There was one small parking space left & tight. Afraid rental car would get hit. Should have had spaces separate for overniters.

Wonderful
Comfortable space to stay
Didn’t realize it was on top of the restaurant so checking in was a bit confusing, but the staff was super helpful!

We stayed in guesthouse, two minutes walk from Sliding Rock, the property of Sliding Rock.
It was very good, good beds , great shower area.
The breakfast was great.
It is near city area.
Staff were excellent. Asked for early check and got it.
The noise from traffic, but it quietened at night.

Very Good
Staying above an Irish pub is about as noisy as you think but the room was cozy and we slept well once the bar closed. The breakfast was included and I’d highly recommend it! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the city shops are easily walkable!
The parking is pretty tight and there are not enough spots for everyone staying there. The bathrooms are also quite small and the water pressure for the shower was basically nonexistent and had trouble staying hot.

The room was not over the pub but a free standing building very close. Our room was large with a king bed and plenty of space for 2

Good
Clean rooms, rooms were recently renovated, all freshly painted and new bathroom appliances. Coffee machine in rooms. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Location was right across from the hospital. Bus stops nearby for going into city centre. Dinner in bar was or tasty.
Rooms very small, had interrupted sleep due to heavy fire doors banging shut at all hours. Did not stay in bar itself, was directed to a building one minute away. In the morning when we were going back to the bar for breakfast, the front door was locked. We knocked but no answer, were knocking for a good while in the rain. Did not like the new vegetarian breakfast, the old vegetarian breakfast was delicious.
