The hotel is modern and well-appointed but not close to the centre of Galway. The breakfast was good and the rooms modern and pleasant.

The Breakfast Buffet was fantastic, the staff were friendly, loved the great bar and overall was an excellent experience. I would definitely stay at the Clayton again!
I don't really have any suggestions for this because I thought everything was great!

i was blown away by my room! the amenities were so nice, the bathroom and room itself was so beautiful and spacious, and the food at the restaurant was delicious!
it was quite the walk from downtown galway, and there wasnt really another option to get to town other than spend a fortune on ubering.

Good and copious breakfast. The swimming pool was warm and rather big.
The hotel is located well outside Galway (downtown). There is no shuttle bus between the hotel and the downtown. The hotel could consider providing a few shuttle buses for its guests per day. The journey by local public bus was tedious and long (35/40 min) with many stops. It is possible to stay in this hotel only if you rent a car.
The second disadvantage was verry narrow beds - a double bed around 130 cm wide was too small for two persons. We could not sleep well and felt tired in the morning.

Decent for the price. Air conditioning worked well during a heat wave

Air conditioned and manager was very nice and accomodating
We had problems with the toilet and told the front desk on the morning of July 12 th before we went sight seeing. When we returned that evening, the toilet issue was still the same. I contacted the front desk and the manager came up and tried to fix the problem. He couldn’t and put us in another room. He was very helpful but it should have been fixed during the day. We were moving rooms at 11:00 at night. Also, in the original room, the carpet was very rippled.
